3. x-config now includes the option to convert a NonCluster configuration to an Intelligent Cluster
configuration.
4. When users open x-config they will be presented
with a Lenovo disclaimer rather than an IBM license
agreement.
5. The published x-config installation instructions now
include instructions for the Google Chrome browser
in addition to instructions for Firefox and Internet
Explorer.
6. IBM products and Lenovo products cannot be on the
same order. From 1 October until 15 October 2014
the "Message" tab will display a message stating
"IBM and Lenovo products cannot be on the same
order and each must use the IBM or Lenovo
customer number respectively. Refer to transition
instructions from IBM".
1. Effective 1 October 2014, x-config displays the
appropriate solution choices (Lenovo or IBM)

number of x-config downloads and updates. The
configurator team can now view these counts for
specific geographies and time periods, and can

1. The new Cable configuration tool enables the user to
customize cabling connections. It provides the “big
picture” view of cabling as well as drill down to
individual components. With this tool, users can
change ports, making sure that only available, valid
selections can be made; and select a different cable
for a connection while ensuring that only the correct
type(s) and length(s) of cable can be selected.
2. With the "Import .cse..." menu option, x-config
enables importing .cse files into a single,
consolidated configuration that can be changed and
validated.
