Jysk Academic Fencing Club (JAF) have the pleasure to invite you to the JAF Jubilee Tournament in Aarhus,
Denmark. The Senior epee tournament is part of the FIE World Cup Satellite System.
The Satellite World Cup is open to all senior fencers who enter the tournament via their national federation,
and the eight best fencers are awarded world cup points.
There will be a training camp in Denmark 03 – 07 November between JAF Satellite and Trekanten Open 08 –
09 November. Program will be available on JAF.dk, Trekanten.org & Faegtning.dk.
Fencers from the following nations participated over the last three years: AUT, BEL, BRA, CAN, CYP, DEN,
ESP, FIN, GBR, GER, HKG, KGZ, HUN, ITA, NOR, POR, ROU, RUS, SUI, SVK, SWE, TPE

Junior (1995-1997) foil and epee:

Regulations: For the senior epée competitions the FIE rules apply.
For the other tournaments FIE rules with Danish modifications apply.
Equipment:
FIE 800 newton jackets and breeches (knickers) and FIE 800 newton plastrons must be worn
Masks 1600 newton. FIE blades obligatory for the senior epée competitions.
FIE license:
For the senior epée competitions FIE license 2014/2015 is obligatory.
Fencers without a FIE license or a valid receipt from ordering a FIE license will not be allowed
to compete.
Control:
Masks will be checked at registration as well as gloves and electric jackets.
For fencers in the senior epée competitions weapons and body wire will also be checked.
Doping
control:
Doping control will take place in the senior epée competitions
Referees:
World Cup Satellite:
According to the general FIE rules (art. O.81):
every country with more than 4 fencers per
category must present at least one referee, and
with more than 9 fencers per category at least
two referees.
A fine of 1000 € must be paid if the required
number of referees is not respected. The fine will
be reduced to 500€ if JAF is clearly informed on
mail [email protected] about a failure to
present a referee, no later than 24 October 2014.

1-3 fencers = 0 referee
4-7 fencers = 1 referee throughout the day
8-11 fencers = 2 referees throughout the day
12-16 fencers = 3 referees throughout the day
All referees must be available throughout the
competition day.
A fine of 135 € or 1000 DKK must be paid for
each referee the club is unable to present.

Senior competitions: 30 € / 200 DKK
Junior / Veteran tournaments: 20 € / 150 DKK, If you don’t show up, we will claim the
payment anyway.

Entry:
World Cup Satellite:
All entries must be made through national fencing
association according to FIE rules no later that
24 October 2014.
Other categories:
By Ophardt: all entries must be made by
clubs/countries using the Ophardt online system
(this applies for all Danish fencers and foreign
fencers from countries using the Ophardt system)
Without Ophardt; fencers from countries not
using the Ophardt system can register by mail

and category.
All entries must be made no later than 30 October
2014 including name(s) of referees.

It is possible to buy food and beverages at the fencing hall
Friendship night:
We hope you will join us on friendship night celebrating the JAF Jubilee Tournament. Friendship night will
take place at restaurant Flammen in Aarhus Saturday evening at 20.00.

of participants.
Training:
If you arrive in advance of the tournament, feel free to participate in the fencing training in JAF at
DGI-Huset, Værkmestergade 17, 8000 Aarhus C (near the railway station) on Monday 18.00-21.00,
Wednesday 18.00-21.00 and Friday 16.00-19.00
Transport:
You can arrive to Aarhus by car, train, bus or you can fly to Aarhus Airport. The fencing venue is situated
west of Aarhus city.
Aarhus Railway Station; take bus 3A in the direction of ‘Tilst Vestervej’ to the Venue site:
Skjoldhøjsskolen, Skjoldhøjvej 9, 8381 Tilst (the bus stops right outside the venue site)
If you travel by car take E45 exit Tilst.

International epee training Camp in Denmark Invitation The Danish Fencing Federation, Hellerup Fencing Club, Fencing Club Trekanten and Jysk Akademisk Fencing Club invite to the International 4 days Training Camp for men's and women's epee from the 3rd to the 7th of November 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a part of the elite camp, there will also be an International Training Camp for fencers aged 15-­‐ 19. The camp is placed between the two Danish World Cup Satellite tournaments on 1st and 2nd of November and 8th and 9th of November, in Aarhus and Copenhagen respectively. After the Copenhagen Satellite it will be possible to join the Hellerup Fencing Club trainings before the Tallinn World Cup. The camp will consist of training sessions targeted the individual age groups and headed by the Danish national coach Ferenc Tòth. Other prominent fencing masters from other countries will be invited to participate and be put in charge of certain training sessions. Practicalities Transport to the camp and accommodation is at the fencers’ own expense. If desired HFK and FKT will be helpful in trying to set up private accommodation.
