Competition-Rules
In kata, each contestant must be able to perform the kata up to and
including his/her level
Brown belts must be able to perform all Heian Kata and Tekki Shodan
2nd and 1st Kyu must be able to also perform Bassai Dai.
Open class competitors must be able to perform all Heian Kata, Tekki
Shodan, Bassai Dai and Kanku Dai. The 4 in the finals may choose a
free kata.
In Kumite white fist-protection and gumshields are mandatory for all
classes. Leg-Protection is not allowed.
Youths age 16-17 may participate in the Adult Classes if they wish.
