It is organised once every two years. The objective of the conference is to provide information on the challenges, opportunities and prospects of the Malaysian plastics industry, as well as the latest in leading edge technologies and solutions for plastics manufacturers to become globally competitive. MPMA is of the view that in order to achieve a high income society by the year 2020, there is a need for the Malaysian plastics industry to reshape its current business practices so as to move up the value chain by way of automation and product innovation, and to reduce the dependency on unskilled foreign labour. Thus, the theme for the 7th MIPC 2014 - “Reshaping to Meet Increasing Challenges” has been chosen to provide the platform for an active exchange of views on the challenges and opportunities in the plastics industry, as well as to provide participants with the latest in technology and business strategies to reshape business, from both local and foreign experts. Industry experts from Europe and Australia have agreed to speak and share their technical knowledge and experiences at the MIPC, together with local industry captains in human resources, investment trends and SME development.
