A Colossal Awkward Moment
Some students decided to equally split the total cost of a colossal pizza from
Mama Joan’s Pizza Place. After all of the students ate the pizza, the bill,
amounting to $14.40, arrived at the table.
Three of the students discovered that they had no money with them. This was
awkward but the remaining students each agreed to pay $0.40 more to cover
the missing amount.
How many students were originally going to pay for the pizza?
