In Loving Memory of Michelle Griffin Castillo Michelle Castillo, a very active member of the Team Z community, was a staple at Wild Wild West workouts. She approached her fitness goals and role on the team – like she did all things in life – with enthusiasm, passion, and humor. A valued part of the Team Z family, Michelle brought a warm smile, kind words, and infectious laughter to those around her. An experienced marathon runner, Michelle had recently accomplished her long time goal of qualifying for the Boston Marathon with Team Z at the Rock and Roll Marathon. But in true Michelle fashion she had her sights set on something bigger… having signed up to do Ironman Cozumel before she had even done a single triathlon! Tragically, Michelle passed away before she would have the opportunity to accomplish this dream. Team Z misses her terribly and we will be thinking of her and her family on race day. We know she would have celebrated her journey with a big smile and lots of hugs at the finish line. With heavy hearts we cross that line in her honor, and will celebrate our day knowing that she is with us in spirit.
