Team Work Works at West The Success for All reading and math curriculum stresses the importance of cooperative learning groups. Here in Steubenville City Schools we are one step ahead of the state standards. SFA has been in the district for well over 12 years. The "new' Ohio learning standards have moved to cooperative learning and student directed learning...an approach that our teachers are, not only familiar with, but have perfected! Above third graders Tejah Montgomery and Madison Cooper are leading a class discussion based on the SFA "Getting Along Together" program during the weekly class council. %%% The%vision%that%we%have%for the%school%is%one%where%we create%a%nurturing environment%for%your%child so%that%we%may%provide%for them%a%love%of%learning while%bringing%them%a curriculum%that%is%second%to none%in%the%Valley.%%We realize%that%we%can%not%fully realize%this%Vision%without your%support.%%So%again,%we thank%you%for%your%support and%participation%in%your child's%educational%journey! % If%you%would%like%to%contact me,%my%eLmail%address%is% [email protected]% You%can%also%reach%me%by phone%at%Pugliese%West (740)264L1590 STEUBENVILLE&CITY SCHOOLS MISSION&STATEMENT To%educate,%motivate and%inspire%all%students to%achieve%excellence, personal%growth%and social%responsibility. % VISION&STATEMENT Transforming%lives%by inspiring%every%student in%every%classroom every%day. % MOTTO Educate,%Motivate, Inspire Fall Tulip Planting Book Reports Made Fun Page 2 of 5 Fire Prevention Week Students%at%West%had%an%opportunity%to%make%their%mark%on%school%grounds!% West%students%were%busy%planting%tulip%bulbs.%%We%can%not%wait%to%see%the beautiful%blooms%in%the%Spring.%%Thank%you%to%Mrs.%Swinsinski%and%the%West Green%Team%for%planning%this%endeavor!
