IPSWICH TOWN PLC Incorporated in England and Wales under the Companies Act 1985 with registered number 04792070 11 November 2014 Dear Shareholder Annual General Meeting of the Company on Monday 8 December 2014, 7.30pm at Portman Road I enclose herewith the formal notice of our Annual General Meeting together with the Annual Report and Accounts of the Company for the year ended 30 June 2014. The summary Financial Highlights of Ipswich Town Football Club Co Limited will be available at the AGM and will also be published in early December on the shareholder section of the Club’s website. The Annual Report and Accounts require little explanation, but it may be helpful for me to draw to your attention that the Board, after careful consideration, has concluded that the £500,000 valuation of our shareholding in ITFC remains reasonable and that no impairment is necessary this year. You will recall that at the AGM in 2010 the Articles of Association were amended so as to permit the despatch of shareholder documentation electronically and via the Club’s website. (We also offered the alternative of continuing to provide hard copies of communications, and a small number of shareholders opted for this.) Many shareholders have now provided the Company Secretary with their email addresses, but others have not, and without these we are unable to make full use of the provision, since it is a requirement that shareholders be notified where and when documentation is made available on the website. In order to assist us in future years, and to save expense, I would be most grateful if you could please notify your email address to the Company Secretary at [email protected] All shareholders who have registered their email addresses before 19 December 2014 (including those who have done so before today’s date) will be included in a prize draw, with three pairs of Directors’ Box tickets to be won plus a pre-match meal for two in the Hall of Fame restaurant for one of the remaining home games this season. The draw is also open to shareholders who are not on email - please send a letter to the Club by 19 December should you wish to take part. Winners will be notified on 22 December. For those of you who have agreed to receive documentation in electronic form you will find all the details of the forthcoming AGM including the Annual Report and Accounts on the Club’s website which can be accessed on the following link: www.itfc.co.uk/news/Financial-News/ continued overleaf We will again be able to offer through the Club’s website an online voting function for all shareholders which you will be able to use as an alternative to sending your proxy form if you are unable to attend the AGM in person. Please go to the Club website link as above and follow the instructions to exercise your vote. Your unique log-in is set out below: If you are able to attend my fellow directors and I look forward to welcoming you at the meeting, where there will be an opportunity to ask any relevant questions you may have of Ian Milne and Mick McCarthy. The Club finished last season strongly, a consequence of the sound foundations that were laid by Mick McCarthy and his coaching team in their first season at the Club. Mick has constructed a settled and recognisable team, including a number of players who are much admired by other clubs and are a delight to watch. We have a happy dressing room and a training ground full of contented but ambitious players who understand the high standards set by manager and strive at all times to exceed them. But it is not just at first team level that the Club is showing real signs of progress. Anyone who has watched the YouTube clip of our Under 14s in action against Millwall, scoring a goal the build up to which FC Barcelona would have been proud of, will recognise that our Academy is going from strength to strength notwithstanding the disappointment of missing out on approval for Category 1 status by a whisker earlier this year; and the emergence of further Academy players into the first team will help it achieve that status next time around. The recent launch of Friends of ITFC, the Club’s charitable foundation, is a strong example of the Club’s ongoing wish and intention to engage with the community, which has historically been an important part of the Club’s DNA and is demonstrated also in the number of first team and ex player visits around the region The Club also has the strength of a happy, close-knit and devoted administrative team who do so much, mostly unseen and unrecognised, to ensure that we have the finance and infrastructure to support the playing side in so many ways; and in particular, to support a team that I am confident can make a realistic bid for promotion this season. So on behalf of all shareholders I would like to thank Ian, Mick and their respective teams, and of course Marcus Evans, for working so hard to give us the best possible chance to return to where we’d all like to be. We look forward to meeting as many shareholders as are able to make it on 8th December. With best wishes Yours sincerely Roger Finbow Chairman
