Our special gifts and talents
Everyone has a special gift or talent to offer the whole
church, just make sure it is used to serve everyone and
not to puff up one’s own pride or to create division,
Pope Francis said. It is a gift that God has given to
someone not because he or she is a better person than
someone else or because she or he deserves it. God
gives gifts freely, out of love, so that they can be “put at
the service of the whole community for the good of all
people”.

Supporting Right to Life Programs
Your support of the Bishop deGoesbriand
Appeal for Human Development makes a real
difference in the daily lives of Vermonters. In
2013, thanks to your generosity, Vermont
Catholic Charities awarded grants to agencies
that assist with pre and post-natal care. Good
Beginnings of Central Vermont commented, "The critical
support of the Bishop deGoesbriand Appeal for Human
Advancement allows us to serve as the missing link in
postpartum care for families; providing early interventions
and tools for stability so that infants have every chance to
thrive and succeed in loving homes" Please donate to the
second collection the weekend of November 22-23. 100%
of the collection stays in Vermont.
Giving Tree of Life - The Pro-Life
Committee will be joining in the Giving Tree
gift collection this year. Baby items are being
added to the traditional gift ornaments. Please
take the ornament of your choice and return it
with your gift no later than December

Bus Trip: Sponsored by the Fellowship
Committee. Enjoy a restful ride to Albany,

show “Jersey Boys” at the Proctor Theater
in Albany, New York on January 17, 2015.

St. Peter’s Religious Store: Christmas
Cards have arrived. We have Advent Candles
and battery- operated ones.
Ladies of St. Anne’s will be meeting in the Chapel
tomorrow, Monday, November 17th at 6pm for a Mass for
our deceased members. We will then go to the hall for a
meeting, refreshments and to try our hand at making a craft.

The monthly free supper at the
Vergennes Congregational Church will
be on Friday Nov. 21. This is a change
from the usual 4th Friday due to
Thanksgiving. The entrée is meatloaf,
potatoes, gravy, corn and dessert. There
will not be a free meal in December.
Mum is not the word. The parish
would like to thank Bill & Donna Scott
once again for the very generous donation
of mums during this fall season. Our
church has never looked so beautiful.

A HEALING SERVICE
Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
Mon., Nov. 17, 2014, 18 Lincoln Avenue, Rutland, Vt.
At 7:00 P.M.
We are happy to have Richard Bingold, Catholic Lay
Evangelist, at Immaculate Heart of Mary to testify and pray
over all who attend. He speaks openly on his own life of
perdition and how God saved him at the moment of death
from “The brink of hell…” God changed his heart of stone
to a heart of flesh. Richard travels the world with the
permission of a Cardinal and several American Bishops to
speak and to pray over the faithful. He prays for those in
need of spiritual and physical healings. His apostolate has
been graced with an extraordinary number of healings of
mind and body. He declares, “God is the healer from whom
all graces flow; focus on the Giver, and the gift.”
He answered the call of God’s servant, Pope John Paul II, to
“put out into the deep to save souls.” He will pray over all
individually with the “Miraculous Pilgrim Rosary. The The
service starts at 7:00 P.M. with a ½ hour of Adoration, then
Richard’s testimony, followed by the healing service. Priests
will be available to hear confessions.

St. Peter’s Closet is closed for the year.
Profit given to the church $4,385.00. We wish
to thank Jeannine , Rose and Ruth who
managed the store this year and those who
came forward to help on occasion. We also
want to thank Al who weekly put out & took down our signs.
We keep winter clothing on our racks. If you know of
someone in need this winter, please call the rectory &
someone will open the Closet. We plan to re-open in the
Spring, so we hope you will keep your spring/summer
clothing for us until then. Thank You
Vergennes Community Food
Shelf: Last Thursday when we went to
serve at the food shelf the shelves were
pretty bare!! We realize it was the end of
the month, but we also know that many
items are in great demand and are taken quickly. So please
we are asking you to consider purchasing just one extra item
when you do your weekly grocery shopping and donate it to
the food shelf. Canned meat such as chicken or deviled ham,
chile, pork and beans, spaghetti and meatballs, mac and
cheese, beef stew a variety of soups and canned fruit, tuna
helper, juice boxes for children, specialty items such as cake
& brownies mixes & jello & puddings & toiletries: toilet
paper, shampoo deodorant and toothpaste. Thank You
