Where You Need It Most
The new ION POWER line of Virtual AC Intelligent Static Neutralizers offer dramatic technological advances for superior
static neutralizing performance in most demanding static control applications. The system is capable of monitoring
several performance and diagnostic parameters, displaying the information and alerting operators when it is time to
clean the bar or if there is a problem. As a modular system, it can be arranged as an autonomous multi-station network
with the master controller, or as individual nodes in an industrial network with the Fieldbus interface. The ION POWER
HL-Type Static Neutralizers are certified by FM Approvals for use in Class I, Division 1 or 2, Group D hazardous locations
in the US and Canada.

The 8155 POWER MODULE
is a microprocessorcontrolled solid-state high
voltage power supply
based on the patented
Virtual AC technology. The
8155 contains circuitry for
monitoring the neutralizing
bars, malfunction
sensing circuit, and serial
communications with the
8200 MANAGER or 8300
COMMUNICATOR.
The 8200 MANAGER module
can control up to nine 8100
POWER MODULES in a multistation system and display the
performance and diagnostic
parameters for each
i n d i v i d u a l station.
FIELDBUS INTERFACE
The 8300 COMMUNICATOR
communicates with a PLC or
host computer over one of
several fieldbuses. Different
fieldbus-specific AnybusCompactCom interface
modules can be installed.
Virtual AC Technology is ION POWER
MASTER CONTROLLER HL-SYSTEM
Each individual station in the master controller
system for Hazardous Locations consists of the
8001HL Bar, 8155 POWER MODULE and 8310
CONNECTOR module connected to the 8200
MANAGER. A single 8200 MANAGER in the
master controller system can monitor and control
up to nine stations in a Master-Slave network
over a two-wire RS-485 multi-drop bus.
FIELDBUS HL-SYSTEM
Each ION POWER Fieldbus-interface
neutralizer for Hazardous Locations
consists of an 8155 POWER MODULE, 8300
COMMUNICATOR and 8001HL Bar. Individual
neutralizers connect to an industrial network
via 8300 COMMUNICATOR modules.
