The upper impeller is attached in the reverse direction of the lower impeller (back-to-back), and reduces thrust load and enhances the durability of bearings. High-chromium cast iron is used for the impellers and mouth ring, to ensure wear resistance. The labyrinth ring and shaft sleeve are made of 630 stainless steel that is superior in wear resistance and strength to other stainless steels, to provide a perfect countermeasure against wear caused by high pressure generated in the casing. Additionally, the pump is equipped with seal pressure relief ports that release pump pressure applied to the mechanical seal. The flow-thru discharge design of the pump forcibly cools the motor so as to endure even extended operation at low water level.
