The fund aims to provide a total return, substantially by way of income though with some
capital appreciation. There may be a moderate risk to capital. The fund invests predominantly
in a range of collective investment vehicles and securities managed by selected fund
managers. While income-generating assets are likely to represent a significant part of the
portfolio, the portfolio may also include assets with scope for capital growth in real terms.
The fund may use different asset classes, with a substantial proportion in fixed interest. The
fund may also invest in money market instruments and deposits.
