Growth Companies community

One among the three listed entities out of the 17 companies
Bengaluru, Thursday, 13th November, 2014: Sobha Limited has been named among India’s 17
new Global Growth Companies (GGC) in South Asia by the World Economic Forum (WEF). Sobha is the
only Indian real estate company to be recognised by the World Economic Forum and is one among the
only three listed entities out of the companies that have been honoured.
The 17 companies represent a broad cross-section of industry sectors and share a track record of
exceeding industry standards in revenue growth, promotion of innovative business practices and
demonstration of leadership in corporate citizenship.
The WEF identifies these Global Growth Companies through a rigorous selection process that involves
nominations from its network of media leaders, existing GGCs, Forum Members and Partners, faculty
members and the general public. The nominations are then evaluated by the Forum and a selection
committee of regional business experts. There are four key criteria based on which Sobha was evaluated
as a part of this process – Growth registered by the company in a sustained manner, the Impact the
company has had in the sector at large, strong and visionary Leadership demonstrated by the
company and its Global Corporate Citizenship commitment in the country and the region.

GGCs identified by World Economic Forum are fast-growing companies that present the potential to

achieving responsible and sustainable growth.
