A certificate of completion will be awarded to students who complete the following courses (in addition to courses required for graduation): Business and Entrepreneurial Principles, Economics, Ethical Business Practices, Introduction to Business (DE), Marketing Essentials, Statistics, and two years of foreign language. Membership with the Future Business Leaders of America, FBLA is encouraged. Prefect Council: The Prefect Council is a council of student leaders who lead the entire student body. The Prefect Council is an umbrella of student leadership that coordinates student life in the areas of athletics, fine arts, guidance, spiritual life, service and student life itself. The Prefects are selected by a panel of administrators and faculty through a stringent interview process. They are senior leaders who possess a high degree of commitment to the school’s values and ideals. Their emphasis is on service, not privilege. Community Service: The King’s Academy does not have a minimum number of community service hours for graduation. However, community service is strongly encouraged and is integrated into the secondary program. The112 seniors of the Class of 2014 logged 26,050 community service hours during their four years of high school. Ambassadors: The King’s Academy Ambassadors conduct school tours, welcome prospective and new students, and assist at events both on and off campus throughout the year. Student Ambassadors are selected by the Administration, Faculty and Staff to represent The King’s Academy. Students who are selected have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, maintain good grades, are willing to meet and greet the public, and have a friendly personality.
