Services Programmer
Clearwater County is looking for a knowledgeable and
experienced Mechanic who is able to work
independently to overhaul, repair and maintain our
heavy construction and agricultural equipment. The
individual must have working experience in gasoline
and diesel engines, starting systems, steering and
brake systems, and understand truck and equipment
safety in the operation of heavy equipment and associated operating systems. This position reports to the
Fleet Supervisor, and in turn provides direction to the
apprentice mechanic and other shop staff.
The Town of Rocky Mountain House, population 7300, located
81 km west of Red Deer. The Recreation and Community
Services Department is looking for an energetic individual to
fill the position of Recreation and Community Services
Programmer. The Town, in partnership with Clearwater
County and the Rocky Curling Club, is one year away from
completing the multi-purpose Recreation Centre Expansion
project. The Recreation and Community Services Programmer plays a key role with this project and the facility once it is
complete. The position is responsible for the delivery and
support of recreation, leisure, sport, arts and culture programs
and activities in order to provide participation opportunities
and encourage and promote a healthy lifestyle in the region.
Qualifications:
• Certified Alberta Journeyman – Heavy Equipment
Technician
• Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence – including Air Brake
endorsement
• Good physical stamina and health
• Mechanical ability and interest in machines, engines,
electronics, and equipment
• Experience in the maintenance of tractor trailers would
be an asset
• Eligible to participate in the Commercial Vehicle
Inspection Program
• First Aid/CPR certified or eligible
• Ability to think logically and problem solve
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
• Ability to work with the focus of ‘customer service’
This position works a 40 hour work week from Monday
to Friday. We offer a full benefits program and the
successful candidate would be eligible to participate in

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director of
Recreation & Community Services, this position is responsible
for planning, organizing, scheduling and guiding Recreation,
Parks & Culture programs and special events for families,

Interested applicants should possess the following skills and
qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in recreation, business, marketing, or
related field is an asset
• Minimum of one year experience in municipal recreation or a
related discipline is an asset
• Strong communication skills and ability to establish good
public relations
• Knowledge and experience with facility booking programs
with an aptitude and interest in IT and other technology
• Experience in human resource management is an asset
• Will be required to work shifts to include evenings and
weekends
• Valid Alberta Class 4 driver’s licence.
• The successful applicant must provide a criminal record
check.
• Willing to relocate.
Salary: $56,243.20 - $63,336.00 (2014 Salary Grid)
