A dazzling evening of theatre and anecdotes

A dazzling evening of theatre and anecdotes
hosted by L.A. Theatre Works’ family of artists,
honoring our long-time friend and playwright, Geoffrey Cowan.
The Gala supports L.A. Theatre Works’ mission to make world-class theatre widely available at little
or no cost, and expand our new groundbreaking educational initiative, Setting the Stage for Learning,
to bring interactive, digital theatre tools to classrooms everywhere.
Connecting Theatre & Technology
L.A. Theatre Works collaborates with today’s most talented actors, writers, and directors to capture
the very best performances of important and enduring works. We maximize current and emerging
technologies to bring our one-of-a-kind Audio Theatre Collection of 500 classic and contemporary stage
plays to more than 8 million theatre patrons, educators and students each year. Here’s how we do it:
Live Series at UCLA - the most unique theatre experience in L.A., where we present and record
ten plays each season
National & International Tours - visiting university and performing arts centers across the U.S.
and abroad
Global Access - through our weekly national public radio show, international broadcasts, online streaming,
and audio publishing
Arts Education & Community Outreach - bringing free recordings to 180,000 students and 72,000
library patrons annually
New Media Development - leading creator of innovative digital arts content for high schools,
universities and the general public
