PURPOSE
Members of the Wind Symphony will be participating in Rancho La Quinta’s annual event, hosting the Marines
from 29 Palms who do not have family to be with on Thanksgiving. They have asked the band to provide pep
music prior to their arrival, and then to honor them by performing “The Marines’ Hymn” when they arrive.

Arrival at the WASHINGTON gate entrance @ Rancho LQ (they will have parking passes)
Arrive at the country club parking lot, begin to set up Drum Set & Bass Amp.
Tune, warm up
Begin PEP BAND set list
Approximate arrival of the Marines - Marines’ Hymn
Make a quiet (and discreet) exit, dismissal straight from the performance site.
PERFORMANCE LOCATION
Rancho La Quinta Country Club - Outside of Tennis Club
Enter on WASHINGTON (see the map on the following page)
OTHER DETAILS
• We will wear Jeans, Show Shirts, and Band Jackets (Travel Uniforms)
• You MUST take your music and instrument home Thursday, you will not have access to the band room until
Monday, Dec 1st
• Tell the gate attendant that you are with the La Quinta High School Band, they will have parking passes for
you at the gate. AGAIN - YOU MUST ENTER AT THE WASHINGTON GATE! (DO NOT be late!)
• Those of you with larger equipment, you can pull into the cul-de-sac to unload
• Please park in the parking lot by the club house (not the tennis club)
• This is for a GREAT cause, it’s nice that they are paying us, but the best part is that you will be making a
difference in the lives of so many with your music and talent! Congratulations on an awesome opportunity!
