The Region Skåne Biobank Facility (BD47) BBMRI national workshop, June 2, 2015 Markus Heidenblad, Head of BD47 and RBC, Clinical Genetics and Biobank, Division of Laboratory Medicine, Region Skåne History • 2009; The board of Region Skåne (RS) assigns to the RS director to review the biobanks under RS. • 2010 (Sep); The board of RS allocates 50 MSEK as investment funding to the RS biobank. • 2011 (Jan); The RS Biobank is organized under Laboratory Medicine and VO Biobank is created through the merger between the RSKC (incl. BD47) and the Regional Biobank Centre (RBC). 27 sample collections at BD47. • 2012 (March) VO Biobank moves to Medicon Village in Lund. 54 sample collections at BD47. • 2014 (March); VO Clinical genetics and VO Biobank are fused.
