The following sections describe the required installation.
2.1
Installation of the Ticket issue machine (TP) and the TP’s cradle
Installation of the TP cradle and the TP will be done after the buses arrive to Oslo area.
The busses must be prepared with cable from the dashboard according following terms:
•
The TP cradle should be installed at the left end of the money board with the
driver’s console toward the driver and the customer’s interface towards the
passengers’ passage.
•
The cable for the TP from the dashboard should be located as close to the
money board as possible.

The cable should be easily accessible for maintenance.
2.2
Installation of the cables for validators (CP)
For buses uses in RuterRegion(green buses) should it be prepared with cabling for
validators to the pole near the doors and to the area where there is room for necessary
network equipment. For the cable end at the door it should be placed in the roof above the
pole with extra length of ca. 3m. The number of validators in a bus is dependent on the
bus type and the number of doors.
The main installation criteria are as follows:
•
The pole for mounting a validator must be between 32 and 38 mm in
diameter. The pole must also be straight and not bent in any way.
•
Both articulated busses and single busses shall be prepared for one or two
validators on each door.
•
Where possible, one validator shall be installed on the first vertical pole on
the left side as a passenger boards the bus by the front door. If this is not
possible the validator should be placed on the first available pole, preferably
on the left side.
