MPB CASE STUDY SUMMERFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL Midlands Portable Buildings Ltd Project: 4 Bay 12.0m x 9.6m Modular Classroom Accommodation Midlands Portable Buildings Limited were approached directly by the school as part of a three way tender process to provide a multi use community building within the School grounds. Having evaluated the Schools requirements our submission was deemed to be the most competitive; offering value for money and a substantial reduction in time to construct the building on site. Acting as the Principle Contractor, our remit was to supply and deliver a full turnkey project during the summer half term period which included both planning application and building regulation submissions, suitable pad pier foundations and service connections. Project: 4 Bay 12.0m x 9.6m Modular Classroom Accommodation  The new single storey, steel framed building was constructed off site and subsequently delivered to site and erected in one day. The preparatory works and foundation base were constructed prior to delivery. Once in situ, work began on the external finish of brick slips which not only complemented the existing School and surroundings but provided increased thermal insulation and energy efficiency. Project: 4 Bay 12.0m x 9.6m Modular Classroom Accommodation  Internally, the building provides a large airy, air conditioned open plan area complete with toilets and kitchen area. Externally, low level bow top fencing, DDA compliant ramps, steps and pathways where constructed to enhance the project further.
