INTRODUCTION
The Town of Blackfalds is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI), from interested firms (Contractors)
that are qualified to provide Equipment complete with operators on an “as and when required” basis to
remove snow from Town owned parking lots.
RELATIONSHIP OVERVIEW
The Town’s goal is to establish a list of qualified Contractors to supplement in-house resources with
intention to have a non-exclusive agreement in place permitting The Town to deal freely with any other
party for similar services.
The Town may at any time request the services of any or all of prequalified Contractors
Contractor(s) may decline any particular request for services from The Town.
Contractors will be paid based on hours worked while on sites. No travel time to Blackfalds will be
paid.
Hourly rates will be 80% of 2014 road builder rates.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Any contractor working for the town on snow removal must maintain the following:
• Insurance coverage (Standard Automobile and General Liability Insurance)
• WCB Coverage
• Town of Blackfalds Business License
