Roman Palace Visit
Year 2 went on a trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace (near Chichester)
last Friday to celebrate and consolidate their topic about the Romans.
The children dressed up as Roman slaves and took part in a number of
activities in the Roman workshop including: writing in Latin and Roman
numerals; building an archway as well as waterproof roofing; spinning
wool and making mosaics. They also enjoyed looking at the original
mosaic flooring in the Palace and exploring the gardens. A fantastic
day was had by all and Mrs Wilkinson, Mrs Evans and Mr Smith
would like to thank the children for being so sensible and enthusiastic.
Olympian Visitor
Don’t forget about our special visitor on Monday 24th November - Rebekah
Wilson an Olympian Bobsleigher will be visiting our school. Please
remember to come into school in sports gear and trainers. To help cover
the cost of this special opportunity please could you bring in a voluntary
contribution of £2.00. Thank you for your support.
