Meet the MSP Qualifications Managed Service Provider Requirements • Sell: Bundle/sell the McAfee solutions from your existing Managed Service offering & manage the end user. • Bill: Submit a McAfee Royalty Report, with your pre-set McAfee MSP pricing, to an authorized McAfee MSP Distributor. The Distributor will then submit to McAfee or invoicing. • Support: Deliver 24x7 support in your own Service Level Agreement to managed end users. Provide remote monitoring and management to end users. Have support personnel available to provide services to your end users - ideally maintain a Support Operations Center (SOC) or a Network Operations Center (NOC). Select a McAfee Support level; and establish your McAfee MSP partner level (Premier or Elite) to set your volume-based pricing. McAfee MSP Partner Support Levels • Essential Partner Support: McAfee partner receives standard access to McAfee’s Tier I Support organization for technical support. • Base Partner Support: McAfee partner receives rapid escalation to second-level McAfee technical support. As the preferred partner support level, a partner will need to complete McAfee’s MSP technical support certifications, as required per partner level. • Advanced Partner Support: McAfee partner receives direct access to McAfee Product Specialists, and assigned McAfee Partner Support Account Manager. Get McAfee Certified on Closed Products Complete McAfee MSP Technical Support certifications • Certify: Complete the relevant McAfee technical support certifications to gain access to McAfee Closed Products. • No certifications required for access to Open Products.. Required MSP Certification per partner level* • Premier MSP: at minimum, one (1) individual must be certified in each competency managed • Elite MSP: at minimum, four (4) individuals must be certified in each competency managed *Closed Product certification requirements are based on a MSP partner in McAfee’s defined Country Set A McAfee MSP Technical Support Certification contains two (2) types of coursework per product competency: • Required Courses: mandatory courses, essential for MSP certification • Learning Courses: MSP-selectable courses, essential for MSP certification *Certification for (and access to) a given McAfee product competency is given when passing scores are achieved in exams for all Required Courses and Learning Courses for the product competency. 6 February 17, 2014 The McAfee MSP Program C. Get McAfee Certified on Closed Products (Cont.) Access the McAfee Partner Learning Center for MSP Technical Support Certifications A. Log into the McAfee Partner Portal, with the credentials supplied in your McAfee SecurityAlliance welcome email, and access the McAfee Partner Learning Center. B. From the Partner Learning Center, select “Managed Service Provider” catalog. C. From the Managed Service Provider catalog, select your desired certification competency: - Endpoint -Network - Risk and compliance - Security-as-a-Service D. Access the courses necessary to achieve the certifications to effectively support your customers. McAfee makes available a MSP Technical Support Certification Guide as a complete course catalog. E. Once you have completed your certification exam(s), notify your McAfee Channel Account Manager (CAM) to be then provided access to McAfee products.
