Simpson SIMPSON WILLIAM L. SIMPSON On May 2, 2009 of complications after breaking his hip. Born in Barre, VT on February 2, 1918, the son of Catherine L. and Alfred C. Simpson and made his home in Silver Spring, MD. He was a WWII veteran of the 45th Division and had a long career with the Veterans Administration as a budget analyst. Survivors include his wife, Helen M. Simpson; sons, Robert L. Simpson and Craig G. Simpson; daughter, Sheila D. Chapelle; grandchildren, Heather Burgos, Laurel, Seth, Sean, Zoe, Mariah, Rowan and Ocoee Chapelle, Joseph A., Dana and Colin Simpson; greatgrandchildren, Johnny Burgos and Andrew Simpson; sisters, Margaret Hoare and Virginia Milne. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the HINESRINALDI FUNERAL HOME, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD for a Memorial Gathering on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude''s Children''s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
