Prof Vicini is the Director of the Department of Head & Neck Surgery at ASL Romagna, and
Chief, Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the Stomatology & Oral Surgery Service GB
Morgagni L Pierantoni Ospital ASL della Romagna University of Pavia in Forlì, Italy.
He was born in Cesena (Italy) and his basic training and University career may be summarized
as follows: residency in Otolaryngology, residency in Audiology and a residency in Neurology.
His main fields of interest are: Oncological Head & Neck Surgery, Sleep Disordered Breathing
Surgery, Stomatology, Facial Plastic Surgery, Neuro-otology, Trans Oral Robotic Surgery and
Pediatric Surgery.
Prof Vicini is the recent incoming President of the Italian Otolaryngology Society.
Furthermore, Prof. Vicini is an AIMS Expert of Sleep Medicine (Italian Sleep Medicine Society )
and is a consultant in sleep surgery.
He has surgical expertise in the different above mentioned fields of about 15,000 procedures
and is considered as one of the worldwide top leading figures in the field of sleep apnea.
He is conducting international cadaver dissection courses and is a robotic instructor for
TORS – Intuitive.
Prof Vicini has 132 scientific publications in leading international medical journals.

Prof. H. Larry Kalish
Head of ENT Department Concord Hospital;
Clinical Associate Professor University of Sydney, Australia
Associate Prof. Kalish is a Sydney based adult and paediatric Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon
with subspecialty interests in Rhinology, allergy, voice and snoring.
He is the founder and director of the Sydney Sinus & Allergy Centre, the Head of Department
of Concord Hospital ENT department, which is a tertiary referral centre for advanced Rhinology
and anterior skullbase surgery.
Associate Prof. Kalish completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales with
first class honours and after gaining general surgical experience combined his two main
interests clinical research and surgery during his combined Surgeon-Scientist training.
He is a clinical associate professor at the University of Sydney and involved in a number of
research projects with numerous publications, presentations at international meetings and a
faculty member on number of courses.
Associate Prof. Kalish is passionate about his work and dedicated to his patients, he believes
that the greatest wealth is health and happiness and that means a strong commitment to
quality of health. No problem is considered too minor and no symptoms are dismissed without
thorough consideration.
He is the immediate past chairperson of ASOHNS NSW, and the ASOHNS NSW CPD
co-ordinator.

Dr. Ofer Jacobowitz
Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, USA
Dr. Ofer Jacobowitz MD PhD FAASM is an internationally recognized expert for the treatment of
obstructive sleep apnea and snoring.
He was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and came to the United States with his family at a young age.
He completed his undergraduate university studies in biological sciences at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology and subsequently worked in computer research & development.
Dr. Jacobowitz then performed his medical and doctoral studies at Mount Sinai School of
Medicine in New York, earning his medical degree as well as a PhD in pharmacology.
He is an assistant professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital
and a partner at ENT and Allergy Associates in New York.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and the
American Academy of Sleep Medicine where he is the former chairman of the Sleep-related
breathing disorders section and all membership sections.
He has authored original research articles, review articles and book chapters on OSA in scientific and medical journals. He is a peer reviewer for several prestigious journals and is an
associate book editor of the upcoming second edition of the textbook Sleep Apnea and
Snoring.
His research interest is implantable hypoglossal neurostimulation for obstructive sleep apnea
and nasal breathing in sleep. He is a primary investigator in the former and current FDA clinical
trials for ImThera Medical’s Implantable hypoglossal neurostimulation therapy.
He enjoys spending time with his family, visiting Israel, photography, archeology, traveling,
learning new languages, and practicing Tae Kwon Do martial art.

Prof. Ziv Mazor
Prof. Ziv Mazor is one of Israel’s leading periodontists. He graduated from the periodontal
department at the Hadassah School for Dental Medicine in Jerusalem, where he served as
a clinical instructor and lecturer for undergraduate and postgraduate dental students.
Since 1993, Prof. Mazor has been engaged in clinical research in the field of Bone Augmentation and Sinus Floor Elevation. He is currently participating in the quest for improving and
evaluating new grafting materials, using various growth factors.
Prof. Mazor is a renowned author in dental implantology, and is known worldwide for his
innovative approaches in cutting-edge procedures and technologies. He is a world known
speaker and has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally.
Prof. Mazor is part of the continuing education faculty at the New York University and an
Associate Professor at Titu Maiorescu University in Bucharest, Romania. He conducts and
moderates advanced international implantology courses and workshops.
He is the past President of the Israeli Periodontal Society. Prof. Mazor serves on the editorial
board of several international dental journals. He is an active member in numerous societies,
such as: AAP (American Academy of Periodontology), AO (Academy of Osseointegration), EFP
(European Federation of Periodontology) and ICOI (International Congress of Oral
Imlantologists).
Prof. Mazor maintains a private practice limited to periodontal and implant dentistry in
Ra'anana, Israel.
