revolving bookcase

“R E VOLV I NG B O OKC A SE”
” r e vo lv i n g b o o kc a s e ” is a piece of archetypal furniture in a new interpretation, inspired by the
architecture of earlier revolving bookcases. The Revolving Bookcase was first produced in a small edition in
conjunction with an exhibition at Rönnells Antikvariat in Stockholm. The exhibition explored the importance of physical books in our digital age and the object itself speaks as much about how important it is to
maintain craft expertise in an era of mass manufacturing. The Revolving Bookcase is currently produced
for Svenskt Tenn in black lacquered ash by Eriksson & Söner Cabinet Makers in Vrena, outside Nyköping.
