Minutes CIH Staff meeting Monday 9/1

a) Discussion topic
Situation: CIH has no longer Therese Istad; and she will not be replaced due to the saving/economic
situation at IGS.
We need to discuss what is important in our daily dissemination; web-ages/media/facebook/twitter.
To what should we give priority? Answer: Update of web-pages.
-Research groups have been told to organize their own web pages
-Elinor Bartle will most likely work 2 days a week (for CIH/IGS)
-Linda organizes web pages for education
The dept/CIH does not have a Facebook page, we can contact MOF to post on their FB
The dept has a Twitter account, needs to decide what we want with it
Gunhild can publish on IGS/CIH webpages, send texts to her. Elinor can language edit before
publishing, if you send a draft to her.
CIH will prioritize making an annual report in addition to webpages.
If you need a separate project web page, you can use Word press.
b) Research - New projects
- Phd scholarship, Helse Vest to Marianne Lønnebotten (C. Svanes)
- Phd Scholarship from UiB to Antonio Perez (C. Svanes)
- PhD scholarship, Helse Vest to Ingrid Kuiper (Ane Johannessen)
-PhD scholarship, Helse Vest Hilde Vindenes (C.Svanes++)
- none of thse PhDs will have their office at CIH.
-New person starts in the Malaria project, with Bjørn Blomberg as supervisor. (Bjarne)
c) Education
Online course in TB started this week; problems of administrative type
There have been problems getting the students registered. With three different institutions to relate
to, and different application- and logon for each of them, there is room for improvement in the
information they receive.
We will set up a meeting with Linda and Randi where we look at the feedback sent to students.
d) Economy 2017 – CIH outside project funds
CIH satsninger 450 000
CIH research school 75 000
Global health course 220 000
Reward funding will come late in spring
Bente and Bjarne will set up a budget for CIH satsninger. Hopefully, the reward funding will be ready
by March. The Global health course receives NOK 220 000 from the faculty. This year is a “rest-year”
but there will be a site-visit to Thailand.
e) UiB Global
Bente will be in Jekteviken on Tuesdays after 10 from now on (sometimes with Ingvild H)
The Thursday administration meetings at CIH will need an agenda now, so that the admin staff from
UiBGlobal can see if there is anything of interest to them.
f) Other information
- Hallgeir will be here in Jan and Feb; helping out in the CIH research school/Master seminars.
- Doreen will be here part-time; helping in economy and ordering; Tues-, Wednes- and Thursdays
- CIH Annual report will be written

g) Anything else?
 The administration needs to follow up the order emails sent from the scientific staff. No
response is demotivating and we will stop using the order system.
 Mina Alami, the IGS apprentice, will be here on Fridays
 Elin Myrvold will work at IGS this spring with HR, she will mainly be based at Kalfarveien
 Congratulations to Ingvild S. – 40-year birthday. There will be a celebration for her and for
Tehmina who turned 50 last year. Date to be announced later on.

Vilkår for å søke om leie av garasjeplass i Dokkeveien
Ansatte og studenter kan søke om leie av plass i garasjeanlegget i Dokkeveien.
Alle som kommer inn under én av kategoriene nevnt nedenfor, kan søke om garasjeplass:
1. Ansatte som søker på grunnlag av tjenestetid ved UiB.
Ved lik tjenestetid foretas loddtrekning. (ca 50 plasser).
2. Ansatte som er avhengig av å bringe barn i barnehage eller i 1. skoleklasse.
Dersom barnet er ferdig i barnehage ev. 1. klasse til sommeren 2017, tildeles plass for 1. halvår. Dokumentasjon
fra barnehage/skole må legges ved. (30 plasser).
3. Studenter som er avhengig av å bringe barn i barnehage eller i 1. skoleklasse.
Dersom barnet er ferdig i barnehage ev. 1. klasse til sommeren 2017, tildeles plass for 1. halvår. Dokumentasjon
fra barnehage/skole må legges ved. (20 plasser).
Det tas forbehold om at det kan bli tildelt færre utleieplasser enn angitt.
Garasjeplassene leies ut for et kalenderår i gangen. Det gjøres derfor spesielt oppmerksom på at de som leier
garasjeplass i Dokkeveien i 2016 ikke får sitt leieforhold automatisk fornyet. De som ønsker å fortsette å leie må
derfor sende egen søknad for 2017.
Plassene leies ut for kr 5.850 pr år, og kr 2.925 for 1/2 år. For kortere periode enn 1/2 år er leien kr 585 pr
måned.

Hvem som kan søke
En må være ansatt eller registrert student ved UiB for å kunne søke om leie av garasjeplasser. Ansatte ved
institusjoner som samarbeider med eller er tilknyttet UiB har ikke anledning til å søke.
Beregning av tjenestetid
Tjenestetid for ansatte beregnes på grunnlag av samlet tjenestetid ved UiB. Både fast og midlertidig tjenestetid
ved UiB regnes med. Tjenestetid utenfor UiB kan ikke regnes med.
Den oppførte tjenestetiden kan bli kontrollert.
Ektefeller/samboere kan ikke slå sammen tjenestetid.
Tjenestetid tas også i bruk innenfor kategorien knyttet til barnehageplass dersom det er for mange søkere i
forhold til disponible plasser. Ved lik tjenestetid foretas loddtrekning.
