Original title: Middleton & Maning's Gippsland directory 1884 - 1885 containing alphabetical directory of
north & south Gippsland, tourist guide to the lakes, with illuminated map and a large amount of general
information.
This CD-ROM contains high quality scanned images of the original book. The directory starts with
advertisements from local businesses of the time, and is followed by a short gazetteer of places around
the region, as well as general information on the districts of Gippsland. The main part of the Directory
consisting of about 100 pages, is the Alphabetical Directory. Listed alphabetically by surname under
each region, this lists heads of household (mostly male but there are a few females mentioned), together
with their occupation and address. It also includes a tourists' guide and map to the Gippsland Lakes
which shows some travel routes.

story of the lives of men and women who found themselves exiled - unbelievably - for the third time
in early nineteenth century to Van Diemen's Land. The exiled sailed first to Port Jackson, then to

The CD-ROMs for the years listed below, are issues of the Tasmanian Police Gazette. Earlier
issues were known as “Reports of crime”. The CD-ROMs contain high quality scanned images of
the whole of each year’s issues. They include lists of warrants issued, changes in the police force
which are all listed (promotions, demotions, resignations, dismissals, retirements, deaths etc).
Information is also given on housebreak-ins, robberies, arson, murders, lost horses and cattle,
deserters, escaped prisoners, missing friends, and reports on those released. Notices from
interstate police gazettes are sometimes included.

"This publication contains over 221,000 records of births, deaths, marriages registered in
Tasmania and war deaths (WW1) of those who enrolled in Tasmania to serve with the Australian
Imperial Forces and who died in service. The index was compiled by volunteers of the Tasmanian
Family History Society Inc. The births include 1900-1919, marriages and deaths 1900 to 1930 and
