Caring for each child as if they were our own. The audiologists of Nemours provide comprehensive audiology services for
children from birth until age 18 at Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington (W) and Nemours Children’s
Clinic in Newtown Square (NTS). The trained audiologists, who are exclusively dedicated to pediatric testing, provide services
five days a week and appointments can be made either with or without an ENT consultation. We gladly accept community
referrals for audiological services.

Yell Inverso, AuD, PhD, CCC-A, the Audiology Program Manager, is a certified and licensed
pediatric audiologist. She received her doctor of audiology (AuD) degree and later her doctorate of
philosophy in hearing science from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Her clinical and research
interests include cochlear implants, pediatric test development, and evidence-based pediatric diagnostic
evaluation. In addition to her work at Nemours, Dr. Inverso holds adjunct faculty appointments at Salus
University and the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Susanne Abate, AuD, CCC-A, is a certified licensed audiologist. She received her doctorate of audiology
from University of Pittsburgh and holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American
Speech-Language Hearing Association. Her areas of interest include cochlear implants, amplification, and
working with difficult-to-test patients.

Shanda M, Brashears, AuD, CCC-A, is a licensed and certified audiologist. She received her masters in communication
disorders from the Lousisana State University Medical School and her doctorate in audiology from the Central
Michigan University/Vanderbilt Distance Learning Program. She holds a certificate of clinical competence in
audiology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She is a member of the auditory neuropathy
spectrum disorder and vestibular teams and her clinical interests include electrophysiology and noise-induced hearing loss.

Annemarie Cox, AuD, CCC-A, is a certified licensed audiologist. She received her doctorate of audiology from A.T.
Still University, and holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech-Language
Hearing Association. She is a member of the vestibular team, and her clinical interests include pediatric vestibular
assessment, auditory brainstem response, and amplification.

Jessica A. Godovin, AuD, CCC-A, is a certified licensed audiologist. She received her doctorate of
audiology from Bloomsberg University of Pennsylvania and holds a certificate of clinical competence
in audiology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Her clinical interests
include amplification, cochlear implants and vestibular assessment.

Rebecca Huzzy, AuD, CCC-A, is a certified licensed audiologist. She received her doctorate of audiology
from Bloomsburg University and holds a certification of clinical competence in audiology from the American
Speech-Language Hearing Association. She is the coordinator for audiology students in the department
and is on the cochlear implant team. Her areas of interest include cochlear implants and amplification.

Liesl Looney, AuD, CCC-A, is a certified licensed audiologist. She received her doctorate of audiology from
Salus University, and holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American SpeechLanguage Hearing Association. She is the lead audiologist for the cochlear implant team, and her clinical
interests include cochlear implants, and auditory brainstem response.

Jessica Loson, AuD, CCC-A, is a certified licensed audiologist. She received her doctorate of audiology from
the University at Buffalo and holds her certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American
Speech-Language Hearing Association. She is on the central auditory processing team and her areas of
interest include central auditory processing disorders, auditory brainstem response, and amplification.

Paula Moore, AuD, CCC-A, is a certified licensed audiologist. She received her doctorate of audiology from

interests include amplification, assistive listening technology, and auditory brainstem response evaluations.

her doctorate of audiology from A.T. Still University, and holds a certificate of clinical competence in
audiology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She is a member of the central
auditory processing team, and her clinical interests include central auditory processing disorders, auditory
brainstem response, and auditory neuropathy spectrum disorders.
