Group Pictures
Please remember that all students MUST be dressed in their Mass uniforms for
group pictures on Friday, November 21st.
Athletic Association
The boys’ basketball teams begin their season tonight in the school gym against
St. Philip. Junior varsity starts at 6:30 PM and varsity plays at 7:45 PM. Also, the
JV boys continue their run in the Avonworth tournament this Saturday afternoon.
The 3rd Annual Lady Bombers Classic Basketball Tournament starts this
weekend. The game schedule is listed below. Our JV cheerleaders will cheer for
the varsity Lady Bombers and our pep squad will cheer for our JV Lady Bombers.
Due to the tournament, there will be no instructional basketball this week.

Forensics
Good luck to the 16 SMS forensics students competing in their first meet this
weekend at St. Teresa of Avila!
School Christmas Pageant Commitment Letter
Grades 3 to 8 Only
While the school pageant involves all students and families for grades
kindergarten to 8, we need a commitment letter from students in grades 3
through 8 so we can assign the parts. Please return the enclosed Commitment
Letter to school by Wednesday, November 26th so that rehearsals can begin
for students in grades 3 through 8.
Reminders:
SMS Apparel—Order forms were sent home last week. If you are interested
in ordering basketball or cheerleading apparel, please complete the form,
enclose a check made payable to SMAA and return to the school office by
Wednesday, November 26th, to the attention Mrs. Crawford.
Extended Day—October payments were due today (11/19/14). If payment
was not received, your child will not be able to stay in Extended Day
beginning Thursday, November 20th until payment is received. Extended
Day will be available on Wednesday, November 26th (The 26th is an early
dismissal). Please make sure to pack your child a lunch as there will be no
cafeteria service.
Secret Santa Workshop
Kindergarten through 8th grade students will have the opportunity to shop for
Christmas gifts for their families on December 9th, 10th and 11th. Kids’
Korner Gift Shoppe items range in price from less than $1.00 to $5.00. You
can also visit their web site at http://www.kidskornerusa.com. Volunteer
elves are needed to help the younger students shop from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
Volunteers can work in two hour increments. Be sure to look for more

PTG Meeting: Tuesday, December 9th at 7:00 PM School Library
Fundraisers
Hoagies—Orders and money must be turned in by Tuesday, December 2nd. Pickup will be on Tuesday, December 9th. For every $7 hoagie sold, $3 will be
credited to your family fundraising fee. If you have questions, contact Linda

Jenny Lee Bread—Prepaid orders are due Wednesday, December 17th. Pick-up is
scheduled for Monday, December 22nd in the school cafeteria from 3:00-4:30 PM.

Pancake Breakfast—One of a kind pumpkin pie pancakes will be served on
Sunday, December 7th from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Weirauch Hall. Mr. Impavido
needs volunteers to help make this delicious fundraiser a success. Please contact

details.
Lucky Lottery Calendars—These make great Christmas gifts. This is an
excellent way to support our school and earn credit towards your family fundraising
fee. Calendars cost $50 each and winning numbers are based on the Pennsylvania
Lottery evening daily number. Calendars are valid for six months from January 1,
2015 through May 31, 2015. If you are interested in purchasing calendars, contact

returned to the school office by Tuesday, December 23rd. Thank you for your
support!
