Greeting & Mission Statement
Welcome back returning players and families and a special welcome to the new players and families
to the Thunder organization. Our mission is to develop student/athletes softball skills thru positive
coaching philosophies of commitment, preparation, dedication, teamwork, sportsmanship and respect
for the game. The game of softball is a tool to teach life skills to our student/athletes and our
classroom for these important applications is the softball field, cages, and DOME. With an emphasis
on skill development, we will enable our student athletes to perform at the highest level of softball
for that individual. Maine Thunder organization takes pride on success of our student athletes on and
off the softball diamond. We currently have teams from the 12u, 14u, 16u, 18u and 23u levels. We
have Gold and Elite teams in certain age groups with a developmental philosophy in mind for our
organization, not just selected individuals.

The EDGE Academy has year round instructors for players to
continue to improve on their skill development. EDGE Academy
is offering MEMBERSHIP pricing for Maine Thunder players:
1-30 minute lesson is $50 total
1-60 minute lesson is $90 total
Some EDGE staff includes: Leslie Warn (former Wheaton College
pitcher) and Carrie Green (former UMaine pitcher) for
PITCHING skills. Nick Caiazzo (14u coach) is available for
HITTING, FIELDING and CATCHING skills. Ryan Jones is
available for HITTING and INFIELD work. 14u coach Theresa
Hendrix is available for hitting (slapping), pitching and defensive
work as well.
All lessons are scheduled by appointment w/ Josh at front desk.
College Skills Video &
Profile Sheet
Nick Caiazzo & EDGE Academy can help you put together a
skills video for college coaches to view. Recommended for ALL
HS Junior players. Contact Nick for your 2 hour video time to
be set up. Special Thunder pricing as well as person profile
sheet to be included on the Maine Thunder team roster page.

Hitting LAB – for Dec Only, these 6 classes will meet twice per week (Tuesday
and Thursday nights from 6-7pm) for 3 weeks to get players a better understanding
of their swing; making proper adjustments. Cost is $150/player.
Thunder ONLY Hitting Class—over X-Mas break with Nick Caiazzo; come in
to get swings with Video Analysis and receive suggestions to be more consistent
with your goals. On Monday (29th) & Wednesday (31st) from 930-1130am.
Indoor Softball League Games—starts Jan 10th. on Saturday afternoons in
DOME; HS divisions for 8 weeks prior to start of HS season. Get live at bats, play
against live pitching, play defense vs. the batted ball. Umpired time limit games w/
batting practice before game. Contact Nick for detail for Thunder special pricing.
SLAP HITTING Clinic with Special Guest—on Sunday, Dec 14th from 2304pm. This 1 days event will have limited enrollment and special Thunder pricing for
the event.
College Info Forum—in January for 2 hours one evening. Lead by Nick
Caiazzo—recruiting information we will have a Q&A’s to help you along the way.
