I’ve worked many jobs in both BC and Alberta, including the Calgary Zoo, the Vancouver Aquarium and The Stanley Park Ecology Society. These positions allowed me to do what I loved most - teaching youth about the environment and sustainability. I’ve been working at Kitsilano Community centre for over 4 years and I get to do some of what I love here, too. Skate shop opens 15 minutes prior to skate lessons. CSA approved hockey or snowboarding helmets are required for skate lessons (no bike helmets allowed). A limited number of hockey helmets are available to use for free. Parents and guardians are not allowed on the ice unless authorized by staff. Due to the popularity of the skate lessons, customers may only register for one group lesson and/or 5 private lessons in one lesson set. PARK BOARD SWIM AND SKATE LESSON REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY A full refund will be given if cancellation notice is received five or more days before the start of the program. If a cancellation notice is received one to four days before the start of the class, the participant can either transfer to a future lesson set, if available, or the refund amount will be the activity fee minus the cost of one class. If cancellation notice is received after the first class date and five or more days before the second class date, the refund amount will be the activity fee minus the cost of one class. If cancellation notice is received less than four days before the start of the second class date, the refund amount will be the activity fee minus the cost of two classes.
