ABOUT
Biology and Bioinformatics Symposium in
2013, I am pleased to invite you to participate
as a partner of the 2014 Big Biology and
Bioinformatics (B3) Symposium 2014 (B3
2014). The name change is an evolution of the
symposium designed to appeal to a broader
audience of researchers across South East
Queensland.
The symposium is hosted by QUT’s Institute for
Future Environments (IFE) and the Institute of
Health and Biomedical Innovation (IHBI), who are
well positioned to take a lead role in these rapidly
emerging areas.
B3 2014 will bring together
researchers from across South East Queensland, who utilise
‘omics’ technologies such as Next
Generation Sequencing, Mass
Spectrometry, Nuclear Magnetic
Resonance or High-Throughput
Multiplex Elisa Systems.
These technologies acquire ‘Big
data’ from biological systems
and are used in advanced
bioinformatics and mathematical
approaches to unravel the
molecular complexity within.
B3 2014 offers an excellent opportunity to:
► engage leading and emerging researchers in this growing field
► showcase how your products and services
can assist with current trends and challenges
► demonstrate your organisation’s committment to supporting research collaboration and the advancement of knowledge in ‘omics’ technologies, systems biology and bioinformatics
We look forward to having your organisation join us in 2014.
Dr Tony Parker
B3 2014 Symposium Chair
