Unit Tester, also known as the BK2120A2, is an
upgrade of our popular BK2120A Audio Analyzer.
Our redesign of the BK2120A hardware makes it
easier to set up, and our new software interface
allows you more versatility with the same speed
and accuracy.
More versatility means that you can use
either one or two sweeps to test frequency
characteristics and Rub & Buzz. Results
appear in seconds in your choice of formats,
whether you choose to simply check whether your DUT’s pass or fail, or need more
detailed information to see exactly where any problems occur. Messages for both
passing and failing can be custom tailored so you can make testing as easy or as

BaKo’s Type BK2120NL Speaker/Receiver Unit
Tester is a modification of our popular BK2120NA
Audio Analyzer for product lines that do not need
Rub & Buzz testing. The BK2120NL is easy to
set up, and our software interface gives you a lot
of speed, accuracy and versatility.
The new BK2120NL uses D.S.P. (Digital Signal
Processing) to test up to 2 DUT’s simultaneously
or independently so you can quickly get accurate
test results on the quality of microspeakers,
receivers or earphones on your product line.

Speaker/Receiver Unit Test Generator
-Type BK2019
We designed the BK2019 Speaker/
Receiver Test Generator to be a fast
and simple tester you can use for
speakers and receivers.
A golden ear can use it to generate
sound in a speaker for aural testing
and it shows you a pass or fail for
impedance on the screen.
Because it is so small and easy to set up, you can also use it for spot checking or as
a portable test unit for quality control.
Setting Up
It’s easy to set up the BK2019. Just set it on a surface that is accessible and easy to
see, plug the alligator clips into the generator at
the front and the foot pedal into the DIO port at
the rear. You can set up the speaker data,
the DUT limits and the sweep data in a
few minutes and then you are ready to
begin testing.

Audio Level Analyzer
-Type BK2110
The BaKo Type BK2110 is a small, 2 channel
DSP based audio level analyzer you can
use to analyze a stereo signal from an
acoustic device. We designed it to measure
the AC level, THD, S/N, SINAD, Channel
Separation and Noise Level all at the same
time. Because it is DSP based, it can quickly
and accurately test high quality digital audio
devices.
The BK2110 is completely self contained
so it does not need to be linked to other
expensive and bulky machines and you can set it up and use it almost anywhere.
However it can be linked to a PC via a LAN cable.
Because of its simple menu layout, you can set it up and use it very easily. And
during testing, you can see the results as the DUT is tested or send them, via the
LAN interface, to a computer for analysis.

-Type BK9012
The BaKo Type BK9012 fully automatic
microspeaker Test System is our fastest system for
testing your microspeakers. It can simultaneously
test up to 8 microspeakers or receivers for standard
acoustic quality and for Rub & Buzz and then sort
them into the appropriate bins.
The BK9012 Microspeaker Test System consists
of a multi-channel unit based on the BK2120A
microspeaker tester and an automatic loading
system which loads 4 or 8 couplers at a time and
sorts the DUT’s according to the results. The
potential for sheer volume of testing makes this the economical solution if your
company counts its monthly output in millions.
When you begin testing, data from the couplers is sent from the DAQ to the PC
for analysis. Although you can monitor what is happening, the PC will determine
whether the DUT’s pass or fail and sort them into the appropriate bins based on the
grade of pass or the type of failure. The results can be saved to examine current
accuracy and trends in long term stability.

The BaKo Type BP1090 Series
Couplers were specially developed
to test microspeakers, receivers
and earbuds on your assembly
line. They were designed with three
factors in mind. First, results that
would accurately reflect the quality of
the DUT. Second, fast and efficient

last, being able to use them in a
small, convenient space.
Our couplers are constructed with
precision parts and topped with a jig

Earbud Function Button Tester
-Type BK2121
We developed the BaKo Type BK2121 in
response to Apple’s need to maintain quality
control in earbuds designed to be used with
newer IPods which contain function controls
and an internal microphone.
It is a compact, easy to setup, easy to use
machine with a short test time you can use to functionally validate each earbud unit
as it comes off the product line.
Function:
You connect the BaKo Type BK2121 to the DUT through a BX6110R10 Earphone
Extension Board. It contains a chip which enables it to simulate an Apple IPod and
provides regulated downstream power to the earbud unit, as well as a microphone
bias line. It detects the mode (Button or Tone Mode) and information in both Button
Mode and Tone Mode. The chipset will also detect the model ID of the microphone
and end the test if the incorrect model is connected.
Testing:
Testing in Automatic Mode is very easy. When you connect the earbuds, the timer
starts. If it detects the wrong ID, it will automatically “Fail”. Otherwise, you’ll see the
“mic” LED light up to indicate the mic is working and the model ID appear.
After the LED goes off, you can press +, - or ► on the cable in any order. When the
machine has received all these signals it switches to Button Mode. The user again
presses the +.—and ► buttons. If the entire process finishes before the timer counts

C-Mic Tester
-Type BK3010V2
The BK3010V2 is the new, more
versatile version of the BK3010. It
was designed and manufactured
by BaKo to test the quality of
C-microphones on the assembly
line. It is still easy to set up or to
change to a new line but also gives
the added ability to connect to a computer, see your results there, and store them to
compare with each other or over time.
We specifically designed the BK3010V2 to use on your product line, in QA or QC,
so it uses DSP (digital signal processing) to enhance both speed and accuracy.
Because of its speed, versatility and accuracy, we also used it as the basis for the
BK9010B fully automatic C-mic test system and the BaKo Type BK3012 D-mic tester.
When you test a C-mic with the BK3010V2, it measures current to determine whether
there is an open or short circuit. Then it measures sensitivity in three frequency
bands and compares these sensitivities to make a quality determination based on
the differences. Your results are displayed in a custom format on the VFD screen so
quickly, they appear instantaneous.
The BK3010V2 is also available as the BK3010V2E MEMS Mic Tester.

D-Mic Tester
-Type BK3012V2
The BK3012V2 is the new, more versatile
version of the BK3012. It was designed
and manufactured by BaKo Company
to test the quality of D-microphones on
the assembly line. The BK3012V2 is still
easy to set up or to change to a new line
and it gives the added ability to connect
to a computer, see your results there, and
store them to compare with each other or over time.
The BK3012V2 measures current to determine whether there is an open or short
circuit. In addition, it measures sensitivity in three frequency bands. This means
you can not only assess the sensitivity in each band, but also compare the bands
and make quality determinations based on the difference. Because of its speed
and accuracy, we used the BK3012V2 as a basis for the BaKo Type BK9013, our 8
channel, fully automatic D-Mic Test System.
Setting up the BK3012V2 is very fast and easy because you can enter the DUT
and test specifications using the simple setup menu. And if you have special
requirements, we can customize your company’s machines for you.

C-mic Tester Lite
-Type BK2011
If you use C-mics, our smallest and most
portable tester may be exactly what you
need.
Based on the BaKo Type BK3010, you can
use the Type BK2011 to measure the electric
and acoustic characteristics of C-mics.
Because it uses DSP (digital signal processing), the results are always very accurate
and almost instantaneous.
The BK2011 is so small (29cm x 26cm x 7.5cm) that you can use it almost anywhere.
And you can easily set it up in a few minutes. These two facts make it the ideal
portable tester, which you can use for spot checking, QA, QC, or even to maintain
quality as a regular product line tester.
As soon as the DUT is connected, the BK2011 starts testing automatically and
shows the test results on the VFD screen, indicating SPL of the sensitivity band,
current and capacitance (BK2011C). It will also indicate a short or open circuit.
Set up and testing are so easy that it only takes a few minutes to learn. If you need a
small portable machine to do basic c-mic testing, the BK2011 is for you.

Remote Control Voice Recognition Tester
-Type BK3013
We designed the BaKo BK3013 Remote Control
Voice Recognition Tester to test microphones used
for voice recognition functions in television remote
controls. It uses BaKo’s familiar “Test Shop” software
in conjunction with the DAQ, making it easy to set up
and easy to use.
The BK3013 tests three properties of the remote
control functions. The Frequency Response Function
(FRF) is tested using a uniform SPL sweep generated
by the BK3013. The computer also tests Transient
Noise (TRN) and checks that appropriate RF information is received. To test for Non
Linear Processing (NLP), the BK3013 runs an SPL sweep at a single tone, which
allows you to see that the mic performs in a linear
fashion as the SPL increases.
You can enter your own specific feedback messages
for different types of results and the computer quickly
determines whether the results of both the FRF and
NLP tests fall within the limits you set and displays
either your custom message accordingly. It also
displays graphs of each test so you can see where the
DUT deviates from the parameters. Of course, you can
save the data in a spreadsheet format to evaluate at a
later time.

C-Mic Auto-Test System

With the BaKo Type BK9010B Automatic C-Mic
Test System, you can test both the electric and
acoustic characteristics of up to 8 C-mics at once
to get accurate and almost instantaneous results.
The BK9010B C-Mic Test System consists of one
or two testers with couplers for 4 C-mics and an
automatic loading/sorting system which loads
couplers simultaneously and sorts the DUT’s
according to your results. The potential for sheer

If you need a superfast, fully automatic D-Mic
Test System, try the BaKo Type BK9013. It uses
DSP (Digital Signal Processing) to measure
the electric and acoustic characteristics of up
to 8 D-Mics at once, making the results very
accurate and almost instantaneous.
The BK9013 D-Mic Test System is very easy
to use. All you need to do is pour some
microphones into the feeder and press the
“Start” button. The tester loads the mics,
performs the test and sorts them into bins
according to their passing rank or type of failure.
The entire process takes just a few seconds, meaning you can test millions of mics
per month.
The D-Mic Tester measures current to determine whether there is an open or short

Silicon Microphone 8 Channel Auto Test System

If you’re making millions of mics per month, the
BaKo Type BK9015, our fully automatic MEMS
(Silicon) microphone sweep tester, is our tool
to help you keep your standards at the highest
level. It can test up to 48 mics per minute
(assuming a 10 second total test time), or over 2
million mics in a month.
The BK9015 is based on the BK3011 Audio
Analyzer, so unlike the simpler BK9010 MEMS
Mic Test System, it uses a uniform SPL sweep
test. This means you can have frequency data
such as FRF as well as current, impedance and
sensitivity over the full test range. As the data is
absolute, it’s also easy to compare to anechoic
chamber data. And the DSP (Digital Signal Processing) ensures that testing is both
fast and accurate.
Test data from the couplers is sent from the DAQ to the PC for analysis. You can
monitor what is happening but the system will determine whether the DUT’s pass or
fail and sort them into the appropriate bin based on the grade of pass or the type of

C-Microphone Interface
-Type BK2015/2015A/2015B
The BaKo Type BK2015 is a
C-microphone interface system
designed so you can connect
your test equipment to a C-mic. It
provides power for the microphone
and returns the C-mic signal to the
connected equipment. If you are
setting up an in house mic testing
system, the Type BK2015 could be
an integral part.
We designed the BaKo Type BK2015 C-Mic Interface to be very versatile. The
internal setup menu allows the user to easily set up the RS-232C port, control
measuring, and input the C-mic specifications in order to consistently operate the
microphone during testing. An external resistor load may be connected to increase
flexibility.
There are three versions of the Type BK2015. The
original model is built to support 1 microphone
at a time. The Type BK2015A has a similar
function however is designed to support up to 8
microphones simultaneously. The BaKo Type
BK2015B is a custom designed C-mic interface
system we design for you.
The Type BK2015 can also be set up and operated
with a PC for use with an automatic system.

Mouth Simulator
-Type BO1032
The BaKo Type BO1032 Mouth Simulator is your
testing solution for the high quality mics you make
for modern consumer devices. Although relatively
compact and versatile, this coupler is capable of
delivering a clear constant SPL sweep that can be
used to test a mounted mic.
We built the BO1032 to be calibrated with a
measuring microphone so you can produce a
sweep with all frequencies at a given SPL. This
also means that you can consider the data from
the microphone absolute data and compare it

Based on the BK2019A Linear Vibration
Motor Aging Test System, we designed
BaKo’s BK2017 Linear Vibration Motor
Current and Isolation Tester to test both
current and isolation. Although designed to
give individual tests either manually or as
part of a fully automatic system, the BK2017
is also fully capable of doing aging testing as well.
The BK2017 performs two tests. Pressing the RUN button once performs the current
test. Pressing a second time performs the isolation test. It is able to test 8 DUT’s at
a time and tests all 8 simultaneously with results in 10ths of a second. Essentially, it
can test as fast as you can load the jigs.
You can buy the BK2017 as part of a fully

The testing takes place in a semi anechoic chamber, where the camera barrel is
placed with both a microphone and an accelerometer to gather data. During testing,
the BK8612 runs a series of tests by adjusting the camera barrel using the DC Motor
and collecting data from the accelerometer and mic. The BaKo Type BK2120B DAQ
monitors both and sends the data to the PC for analysis. In the PC, the BS1123Opt006 Test Shop Program controls the test process and analyzes the data acquired.
The software performs analysis to determine the sound trend and the loudness. If
the data falls within all the parameters you entered, the DUT passes. If it falls outside
of a parameter, the DUT fails and you can easily see the reason. Passing and failing
graphs appear during testing so you can easily see the ‘shape’ of the vibrations.
