Corporate advisor: Investor Presentation December 2014 Harvest Minerals (ASX:HMI) Investor Presentation / December 2014 Introduction For personal use only Right commodities, Right location, Right time EXCITING OPPORTUNITY Drill ready potash targets in known salt layers at the Company’s 100% owned Capela Project. Recently completed 3D seismic at the Capela Project has confirmed potential salt layers at shallow depths of 235 - 325 meters. Substantial land holding showing strong indicators of phosphate at the Company’s 100% owned Arapua Project. Granted exploration licenses and work programmes commenced. IDEAL LOCATION Brazil is the largest potash importer and the third largest potash consumer in the world. 90% of potash is imported and the remaining 10% is produced by Vale on adjacent block to the Company’s Capela Potash Project. Fertilizer demand in Brazil is estimated grow twice as fast as overall global demand from now until 2025. All projects are ideally situated close to existing infrastructure and demand. PROVEN MANAGEMENT TEAM WITH TRACK RECORD IN BRAZIL AND FERTILISERS Harvest Minerals (ASX:HMI) Investor Presentation / December 2014 What is Potash(K) ? For personal use only Potash (K) is one of the three primary nutrients (N, P, K). Potassium (K) is a soft and light alkali metal of a silver-white colour. Sylvite and carnallite are the two minerals with the highest concentration of potassium. 95% of potash is used for fertilisers. Most crops need potassium (K) more than any other nutrient elements. PHOSPHATE (P) Plays a key role in root development. POTASH (K) Improves plant durability resistance to drought, diseases, parasites and cold weather. Harvest Minerals (ASX:HMI) Investor Presentation / December 2014 What is Phosphate(P) ? For personal use only Phosphate (P) is also one of the three primary nutrients (N, P, K). Phosphorus (P) is essential to a plant’s growth, its functions cannot be performed by any other nutrient, and an adequate supply of P is required for optimum growth and reproduction. 86% of phosphatic rocks are used in fertiliser manufacturing. Phosphorus is a major nutrient required by crops in relatively large amounts. Brazil is one of the largest users of phosphate and accounts for 80% of Latin American consumption. Harvest Minerals (ASX:HMI) Investor Presentation / December 2014 Huge local market to meet and supply For personal use only Brazil imports 90% of its potash and 51% of phosphate consumption. Over the last 15 years Brazil’s crop revenue has risen from US$23bn to US$126bn and is estimated to increase a further 40%. The Government of Brazil is supporting the development of potash projects to decrease its dependance on imports. The project is located in the Sergipe Alagoas Basin, which hosts significant deposits of sylvinite and carnallitite. Rocks with highest potassium concentrate. The Capela Potash Project consists of eight granted exploration licenses covering total area of 11,212 hectares. Vale operates the Taquari-Vassouras Potash Mine 13km to the south of the Capela Potash Project. Recently completed 3D seismic has confirmed that the Capela Potash Project is the possible northern extension to Vale’s Taquari-Vassouras Potash Mine to the south. The 3D seismic has identified the potential presence of salt layers at relatively shallow depths. Existing infrastructure with access to local and international markets. Harvest Minerals (ASX:HMI) Investor Presentation / December 2014 Capela Potash Project - Exploration Programme For personal use only The Company is planning to commence drilling programmes early in the 1st quarter 2015. 1ST QUARTER 2015 EXPLORATION PROGRAMME Initial site visits and pre-drill preparation and targeting has been completed. u Test shallow potash layers within 350 meters of surface. u Drilling quotes received and the programme to commence on 1st quarter of 2015. Complete two drill holes or approximately 700 meters. Harvest Minerals (ASX:HMI) Investor Presentation / December 2014 Arapua Fertiliser Project For personal use only The Company has acquired the Arapua Fertiliser Project further developing its strong presence in Brazil’s fertiliser sector. The Arapua Fertiliser Project is located in the State of Minas Gerais, approximately 400 kilometres south east of the Brazilian capital city Brasilia and within one of the major agro-industrial centers of Brazil. The Arapua Fertiliser Project consists of eight granted exploration licenses covering total area of 14,946 hectares. The project is divided into three blocks Arapua, Pindaibas and Maxixe blocks. At the Arapua block, notable grades from recent grab samples ranged from 5% to 24% P2O5, over apatite-rich kamafugitic rocks. At Pindaibas block, recent auger drilling returned values up to 14.8% P2O5. The apatite-rich rocks are nearly horizontal and strongly weathered allowing to an easy mineable operation. Initial test work and scoping studies has commenced.
