NCLC is a Registered Training Organisation. Provision
of vocational education is one of our primary objectives.
NCLC is committed to quality education and training for
all students. Student safety and welfare is of utmost
concern to us. NCLC encourage individuals with
disabilities to access funded training. Our teachers are
fully qualified and we provide up-to-date resources and
facilities. NCLC welcomes any feedback from clients
and stakeholders and is committed to continuous
improvement across the entire organisation.
FEES AND CHARGES: NCLC provides students with details of all fees & charges
prior to enrolment. Registration Fees – $10.00, all participants must pay an
annual, non refundable registration fee upon enrolment in their first program for
the calendar year. REFUNDS: Fee-for-Service Courses (not subsidised by govt).
Applications for refund/credit will be considered if they are received at least 10 days
prior to commencement of course. Refunds/credits will not be given 9 days prior
to the start date or once a course has commenced. A $50.00 administration fee
applies for all withdrawals from a course. NB: If a class is cancelled by NCLC the
full fee will be refunded. Pre-Accredited Courses Applications for refund/credit will
be considered only if they are received prior to course commencement. A $50.00
administration fee applies for all withdrawals. Accredited Courses (delivered by
NCLC). If you officially withdraw by notice, from an accredited NCLC course within
4 weeks after the scheduled commencement date of the course, you can apply
for a refund of fee paid less a $50.00 administration fee. A credit/full refund will
be given when the class/course is cancelled by NCLC. CONCESSIONS: NCLC
offer concessions on many of its programs. Please note there are no concession
fees for non accredited programs unless specifically stated under program costs.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: NCLC will ensure that course participants receive
accurate information about: Course content, course competencies, tutors, venues,
equipment, dates and times. NCLC has in place a Grievance and Appeals policy and
procedure. No students will attend class for more than 8 hours in one day and will not
attend classes after 10.00pm. Plagiarism and cheating is NOT condoned. Bullying

Youth Programs

These programs are ideal for youth, who are disengaged from
education in a mainstream setting. We provide individual
attention and use relevant adult learning principals with a
youth-focus to keep the young people interested in achieving
a range of measurable learning outcomes towards their future.
VCAL – VICTORIAN CERTIFICATE OF APPLIED
LEARNING
VCAL is a hands-on option for students, that gives practical
work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills
and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important
for life and work. VCAL is an accredited secondary certificate
which runs within the same timeframe as VCE, with each level
(Intermediate or Senior) completed in one year. Each student
will spend 3 days per week on Literacy, Oral Communications,
Numeracy, Work Related Skills and Personal Development Skills,
and one day each on VET, work experience and volunteer work.
Internal VET courses will incur additional material costs.

C GEA – CERTIFICATE IN GENERAL EDUCATION
FOR ADULTS
CGEA is a widely used curriculum which is seen to meet the needs
of a range of learners. These programs are ideal for students
between the ages of 14-16 years and are disengaged from
education in a mainstream setting. While the CGEA Certificate’s
main focus is on the core units including Literacy and Numeracy,
it also provides a framework for developing skills in a range of
general and vocational areas as the students will participate in
the assigned elective modules. The flexibility of the curriculum is
highly regarded in terms of its content and has been widely used
throughout Australia by TAFE Institutes and Registered Training
Organisations. The CGEA courses are run for a period of 6 months
each with students attending classes 4 days per week.

Business, Retail, Children’s Services, Community Services,
Aged Care and Information Technology. Whether full-time,
part-time or School-based – Job Network Providers, Secondary
Schools, Australian Apprenticeship Centres, Employers and

Literacy Programs
Literacy Programs mainly include English reading, writing,
communication and basic maths.
These classes are ideally suited for people who are keen to improve
their English and basic maths skills in order to find work, enrol in
further study or participate socially in the community.

This course is the Australian Government’s free program for
helping eligible job seekers to improve their language, literacy
and maths skills. Improving these skills will make job seekers
more competitive and productive in the job market and able to
complete further training. This program is delivered in partnership with
Chisholm Institute, funded by the Department of Industry.

Camera. Gain an understanding of the basic principles relating to
aperture, shutter speed, ISO and white balance. Find out how to use
your camera creatively and confidently. Investigate downloading
