POSITION:
Human Resources Administrator (SAP )
LOCATION:
Northern Cape

REPORTING TO:
Human Resources Controller
JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Co-ordinate, support and administer general HR functions
and render specific administrative support to internal and external customers, as well as the
HR Controller. Compile and keep personnel files and records. Managing and maintaining time
and attendance, the site personnel database and quality of data on Payroll systems. Assist the
HR Controller in generating reports. Search employee files/database and furnish information
to authorized personnel.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
· SAP personnel and time administration
· Assistance with personnel and time administration on X time finger clocking system
· Primarily responsible to manage and maintain the electronic employee database and time and
attendance systems
· Ensuring that payroll system cut-off dates are met
· Generating accurate electronic reports on wages costing, absenteeism, staff turnover, etc.
· Administering HR functions such as, entry and exit medicals and staff engagement and
terminations and updating HR systems.
· Ensure that all employees have proper employee files and that all relevant file information are
kept up to date
· Liaising with Payroll Dept. and employees to ensure that all queries are addressed and
timeously resolved
· Maintain and administer the wages employees' site organogram
· Liaise closely with training department on vacancies and recruitment of production wages
employees
· Record keeping and filing
· Supervise HR Administration Clerk
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· Grade 12
· National Diploma Human Resource Management or Financial Management (will be to your
advantage)
EXPERIENCE:
· At least five years' related work experience in a HR Department in a mining environment
(other jobs that prepared the incumbent for this job)
· At least 3 years' SAP experience
· At least 3 years' payroll experience at supervisory level
· Electronic finger clocking system administration experience will be advantageous
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Excellent MS Office skills, especially excel (previous electronic time and attendance system
experience will be an advantage)
· Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels within the organisation
· Meticulous, detailed, well-organized and able to work independently to meet datelines
· Has a high level of integrity and able to work with confidential and sensitive information
· Keeps abreast and up-to-date with HR trends and industry wide development
· Must be assertive

JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Maintain health and safety systems in the organisation.
Identify hazards and assess risks to health and safety, enforce safety controls and provide
advice on accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees.
Ensure total compliance with the Mines Health and Safety Act.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
· Co-ordination of Safety, Health and Environmental Management Programme recording
keeping systems
· Monitor compliance to established Safety, Health and Environmental Management standards,
rules and regulations
· Create and maintain high degree of S.H.E. awareness at all levels
· Effective Accident / Incident reporting and investigation
· Conduct internal SHE audits and assess the effectiveness of the SHE system and
programmes
· Implement and facilitate a corrective action plan for non-conformance and non-compliances
found in auditing processes
· Facilitate the following:
- Accident / Incident Investigation
- Accident / Incident outcomes and corrective actions
- Evaluate, monitor and verify employee training qualifications prior to
appointments as per training matrix
- Facilitate a risk assessment program
- Facilitate a behaviour base safety program
- Facilitate a planned task observation program
· Gather and compile weekly, monthly and quarterly detailed reports with required SHE
information as per Mining standards and submit to site management.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· National Diploma – Safety and Risk Management /SAMTRAC
· SHE Systems Auditor Certification (OHSAS / ISO )
· COMSOC 1,2 & 3
EXPERIENCE:
· 3-5 years' experience in the same or similar role
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels within the organisation
· Meticulous, detailed, well-organized and able to work independently to meet datelines
· Computer literate – MS Office (Excel, Word and Power point)
· Valid Code 08 Drivers Licence
