Christmas Performance
A comment from one of the teachers, inspired by our learning journey
this term of 'Could you live on the moon?', resulted in our theme for
the Christmas Nativity 'Christmas with the aliens'. This story was a
modern twist on the traditional story where aliens land on Earth due
to their spaceship breaking down and the children teach them all
about Jesus and the very first Christmas. The children worked really
hard learning all the songs and their lines. It was a great success!
Thank you for joining the festive fun make this year’s
event a ‘cracker!’ The full moon helped to light up
our inaugural Carols by Candlelight, and provide a
dramatic backdrop for our fire-poi display. Thanks to
Mrs Bazzard and Miss Smith. We hope you enjoyed
the other live entertainment provided by the choir,
ukulele, recorder, and drama clubs.

Thanks also to all the participants and associated staff.
There certainly seemed to be a lovely fun festive
atmosphere around all evening. We raised a fabulous
£2,000 to be spent in the new year. A huge thankyou
to all the helpers who made cakes, donated goods or
manned the stalls. We couldn’t do it without you!

The novice team will be selected and coached by Mrs Gray and she will be taking
names of those interested shortly. Sadly for the intermediates we no longer have the
help of Nikki Rostock, who has done a wonderful job over many years. However,
we are lucky that Laura Woodcock from Tarka Gym has offered to help us out this
year. This may mean that the coaching for the 'inters' will not take place at the school
but at the Tarka Gym and it will be the responsibility of the parents/carers to arrange
their child's attendance. To be classed as an 'Inter' you must be receiving more that
one hour of coaching outside of school per week or have been in the Sticklepath
'Inters' team before. Any child that wishes to take part in 2015 'Inter Competition'
needs to register their name with Mrs Gaunt by the end of term please so that teams
and training can be arranged.
NON SCHOOL UNIFORM— FRIDAY!
On the last day of term the School Council are letting pupils come
to school in Christmas Jumpers. You can decorate your it with
tinsel and bauble balls. There will be a prize for the best one in
each year. This is for fun and no donation is necessary.
