ADVENT SHEEP TRAIL
One of the shepherds wants
to go and see baby Jesus at
Christmas, but he can’t find
all his sheep!
He knows that they all went
off to the shops in Alverstoke
and are still enjoying the
Christmas shopping — will
you help the shepherd find his
missing sheep?
Between the 5th and 22nd December you’re invited go on the
Advent Sheep Trail as a family to find the lost knitted sheep.
When you go please always ensure there is an adult with
children and take care when crossing the roads. The knitted
sheep are inside some shops so please be extra polite to
shopkeepers and their customers when looking for a sheep in a
shop. When you find a sheep in a shop or shop window you can
write its name in space next to the name of the shop.
!
Please help us find all the sheep in time for St.Mary’s Alverstoke
Christmas Eve Crib Services at 3.00pm and 4.30pm so that
they can come along as a flock and join in our celebrations.
!
The next Messy Church will be held at St.Mary’s Parish Centre, Green
Road on Thursday 22nd January 2015 at 3.30pm

Messy Church Advent Sheep Trail
The Shepherds Story
On 25 December we celebrate Christmas, the birthday of
Jesus who was called Christ...
!
When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, some shepherds were out in the fields
looking after their sheep when suddenly an angel appeared.
The shepherds were very scared. The angel told the shepherds not to be
scared because he had brought good news. He told them that Jesus had
been born and that he would be the person who would save the world.
He told the shepherds to go and see Jesus. Then there were lots more
angels who sang glory to God and peace on earth.
