The RL-10-IR HID Rechargeable Handheld Light from Larson Electronics has a 35 Watt HID bulb that produces 3200 lumens of light
output capable of reaching distances to 4,000 feet. The RL-10 features several benefits, including a 4,000 foot beam, articulating head,
focusable beam and interchangeable batteries. This HID flashlight can also operate directly off of a 12 volt or 24 volt vehicle system via
optional vehicle adapter.
The RL-10-IR comes complete with the flashlight, two rechargeable NiMH 12V batteries, an AC charger, a carrying strap and a case. This is a
professional grade unit for industrial, agricultural, law enforcement, emergency services, fire search and rescue and marine use.
This particular model comes standard with the IR 850Nm covert lens, The IR850 cover is a high quality, covert 850Nm infrared blackout lens
cover for the RL-10 HID Flashlight. Infrared lens is made from hardened borosilicate and is coated on both sides. Cut off is 850 Nm with 90% +
energy transmission rate to 2300 Nm.
The infrared lens prevents visible light from passing through the lens. Night vision goggles, binoculars or cameras are required to view objects at
distance one the lens is attached. Built to military specifications, this covert infrared lens is applicable to military use and hunting. The infrared
lens holder is machined from aircraft grade aluminum and powder coated black. A simple bracket locking system with two thumb screws attaches
the cover to the light. Once in place, the cover is secure in any high vibration scenario. To remove the cover, the operator simply gives each
thumb screw a full turn and pulls the cover away from the light.
The application of the infrared lens black out cover does not interfere with the lens focusing ability of the HID light. In fact, the cover enables the
operator to more easily manipulate the adjustable focusing ring.

The head on the RL-10-IR is made up of heavy duty aluminum and is five inches in diameter. The head on this unit pivots from 90 degrees to 180
degrees with the push of a button. The beam adjusts from flood to spot by rotating the lens. A compact ballast incorporated into the lamp housing
provides portability and light weight use.
Power: These flashlights are powered by rechargeable Ni-MH 12 volts batteries. The average recharge time of these batteries is four hours. An
LED charging indicator light will illuminate RED when charging and GREEN when fully charged. The charge cord plugs directly into the battery.
Each battery has a 70 minute runtime on a full charge.
Note about this HID Flashlight: To date, this is the brightest, toughest portable HID flashlight we have seen. While this started out as a Chinese
made flashlight, the electronics and optics of this model has been completely re-engineered to a higher specification, including the use of a GE
bulb, 4300 kelvin gas, Taiwanese ballast, Taiwanese switch, etc. We have looked at 50 and 70 watt HID spotlights and flashlights (which use a
35 watt bulb with higher wattage ballast) but there is little comparison. The sheer volume of projected natural colored light, combined with very
tough inner and outer construction make this handheld HID flashlight unique.
Note about Batteries: While lithium ion batteries are very popular right now, they do not push power to the light quickly. Ni-MH batteries will cut
the startup time of HID lights nearly in half. This HID flashlight will reach full power in just a few seconds, while many others will require 8-10
seconds to reach full power. Lithium ion batteries are light, have no memory and hold their charge over time on the shelf. The Ni-MH batteries in
this HID flashlight have similar properties. When NI-MH batteries are constructed properly, they have no memory and hold their charge over time
on the shelf. The Ni-MH batteries in this HID flashlight will discharge completely over a 6 month period of inactivity, where lithium ion batteries
take longer to discharge (9-12 months). Lithium ion batteries are very expensive compared to the Ni-MH batteries, which can often double the
final price of the HID flashlight. This HID flashlight uses high quality Ni-MH batteries, with run time, recharge and discharge properties similar to
lithium ion batteries. These Ni-MH batteries enable the use of higher quality ballast and optics, while keeping the final price competitive. These Ni
-MH batteries also enable the light to start more quickly, but they are approximately 1.5 pounds heavier than a lithium ion battery alternative.
For those that are familiar with cordless tools, this HID flashlight works just like any cordless drill. The batteries snap in and out of the base
easily. One battery can be charging while the other is in use. A separate accessory, the vehicle adapter snaps into the battery socket, enabling
users to run the light off of a 12 volt or 24 volt vehicle's power system indefinitely.

Part #: HID-65-50-S-IRC
Price: $671.00
High Intensity Discharge (HID) spotlight - 50 watt HID with internal ballast - SPOT BEAM PATTERN - 4000 foot long by 240 foot
wide (at widest portion) - long distance spot beam
Includes an 850 nanometer infrared blackout filter that snaps on to the front of the light, effectively blocking all visible light output. Night
vision equipment is required to make use of the non-visible light energy emitted. The filter lens cover snaps on and off easily, but stays
attached once snapped into place.
Die cast aluminum housing - 6.75 inches in lens diameter, 7.1 inches tall with mounting bracket, 5.2 inches deep, weighs 4.2 pounds
This HID spotlight uses arc lamp technology, which basically ignites gas, instead of a filament. As such, HID bulbs have much longer life
than halogen bulbs, since there is no filament to break in high vibration environments. In addition, the gas is not subject to deterioration
from heat, like halogen filaments, which also results in greater longevity. This HID-65-50 series spotlights will easily outperform a 500 watt
halogen lamp which will consume 21 amps on a 24 volt circuit, while producing less heat and drawing less than 2 amps. These HID
spotlights have an internally integrated ballast and take a simple power and ground wiring configuration. Thus, they can be used in place
of any similar configured halogen light. There is no need for replacement of in-vehicle wiring systems, switches or other harness related
equipment. A simple through hole mounting stud is comparable to other vehicle based mounted lights.

Infrared Lens Filter - Coated Borosilicate - 850nm Cut Off for RL-11 HID Spotlight - LENS ONLY
Part #: RL-11-IRF
Price: $538.00
Made in The USA
Infrared cut-off lens cover for R-11 HID light filters lamp output to allow only infrared light energy to pass. Produces invisible infrared
illumination in the 850nM range which requires the use of night vision devices to be seen.
850 nm cut off infrared lens blocks the projection of all visible light. The borosilicate substrate (commonly known as Pyrex) has the durability of
tempered glass and is coated on both sides. The lens is sealed into the machined aluminum housing. The housing is attached via bracket and
thumb nuts. The lens and lens holder are insulated/sealed with high temperature silicone and high temperature silicone gaskets to prevent light
leakage.
The lens holder assembly can be attached and removed quickly. Once secured, the unit can subjected to excessive vibration without risk of the
lens exposing the visible light. This milspec unit enables 93% of light energy to pass through the filter. Plastic infrared filter lenses usually allow
only 20% of the light energy to pass. This means that the RL-11 HID light will only lose 7% of its 3000 foot beam due to the lens. Other lights
using the plastic lens will lose up to 80% of the transmission length.
The light output produced with the use of this lens is invisible to the naked eye. Night vision cameras, goggles and similar devices are needed to
view the output from this lens.

HLC-IR Infrared Headlight Covers Black Out Visible Light for Military Humvees
Part #: HLC-IR
Price: $260.00
Aluminum head light covers holds 7-inch diameter infrared lens to black out visible light. The headlight filter cover
blacks out visible light, enabling HMMWV (Hummer/HUMVEE) operators to move covertly at night with supporting
night vision optics. These headlight covers encapsulate the headlight completely, containing visible light and emitting
only infrared wave length light.
THIS PRODUCT IS FOR ONE HEADLIGHT COVER AND NOT A PAIR.
The aluminum housing is machined from aircraft grade aluminum in Fort Worth Texas. Material certifications available
for Berry Amendment compliance. The housing has three slots that align with the existing mounting screws securing
the headlight assembly. The housing also includes a retaining snap ring for the lens. An entire headlight cover
assembly is not required if the lens is damaged, as damaged lenses can be changed easily in the field.
Installation and maintenance only require a few minutes.
The 7-inch diameter, 1/8 inch thick lens is composed borofloat glass (tempered glass characteristics) with vacuum
chamber applied coatings, producing 850 nm cutoff. The infrared lens hides visible light and emits infrared light. Our
lens has a 90% transmission rate (spectral available upon request). In other words, 90% of the light produced by the
headlights is projected past the lens. Alternative headlight covers made of polycarbonate/polymer blends only allow
20% transmission. Operators will see nearly 3 times farther with this headlight cover than polycarbonate blend
covers. In addition, this lens is manufactured in the Dallas Fort Worth, not China.
A single 7 inch OD snap ring holds the polycarbonate protective lens, IR lens and 2 silicone gaskets in place. Any
pair of pliers, snap ring pliers or military issue Leatherman knife sets can be used to release and replace the snap
ring. The silicone gaskets are reusable and the lenses can be changed in the field in under 30 seconds in the event of
damage.
