Valley Spur Ski Trip
March 6 - 8 8 AM departure
The Nordics 2015 grand finale ski weekend, March 6 - 8, to splendid
Valley Spur located in upper Michigan’s snow belt is more than half
full! Don’t delay, sign up soon. After skiing on Friday (weather
permitting) at the Brown Co. Reforestation Camp outside Green Bay,
there is likely to be plenty more outdoor activity (thanks to lake-effect
snow and reliable grooming) the remainder of the weekend on Valley
Spur's well designed classical and skate style ski system and separate
snow shoe trails. A Saturday highlight, the annual Taste and Glide, an
outdoor tasty food fest-celebration and fund raiser for Valley Spur,
will be offered again for optional participation. Evenings can be spent
relaxing at our overnight destination, the comfortable Holiday Inn
Express overlooking scenic Lake Superior outside Munising, or
exploring an interesting mix of local dining establishments, and,
perhaps taking in some folksy music at the Falling Rock Cafe. More
questions, contact leader Jane Stoltz, [email protected], or phone
414-226-5076.
Wooden Skis
There is a nice pair of wood Agnes Scandinavian skis that might be
fun to put up on a wall in a cabin or perhaps use. Contact Barbara
