GRAND PRIZE GIVEAWAY SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OF ANY KIND WILL NOT
INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. In order to be eligible to participate in the GRAND PRIZE GIVEAWAY SWEEPSTAKES ("Sweepstakes"),
each entrant must be 18 years of age or older as of January 1, 2014 and a legal resident of the United
States or Canada (void in New York, Florida, Rhode Island, and Quebec). Proof of eligibility will be
required. Void where prohibited. Employees of Compass Minerals Manitoba, Inc. ("Sponsor"), parent
companies, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliated companies, promotion and advertising agencies and agents,
and members of the immediate families (defined for these purposes as parents, spouses, children, siblings
and grandparents, and the respective spouses of any of the foregoing) or households (whether related or
not) of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable
federal, state and local laws and regulations.
2. The Sweepstakes begins at 8:00:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST) on January 1st, 2014 and ends at
4:00:00 p.m. CST on December 31st, 2014 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
3. To enter, fill out the official entry form and provide his/her contact information. Entry forms may be
obtained at Sponsor-attended events or by mail-in request. To obtain an official entry form by mail-in
request, simply mail your name and mailing address to Compass Minerals, Inc. at the address set out
below and an official entry form will be mailed to you (one entry form per person). Once you receive the
official entry form, fully complete the form and mail it to the address indicated. All entries must be
submitted and received no later than 4:00:00 p.m. CST on December 31st, 2014. Limit one (1) entry per
person for the entire Sweepstakes Period, regardless of method of entry.

4. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Proof of entry submission will not be
deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for: (i) lost, late, stolen, incomplete,
illegible, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected, postage-due mail/entries or entries not received by
Sponsor for any reason; (ii) any problems or technical malfunctions, errors, omissions, interruptions,
deletions, defects, delays in operation or transmission, incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether
caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the
Sweepstakes or by communication failures or human error that may occur in the transmission, receipt or
processing of entries, or for destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or otherwise
in the execution of the promotion; (iii) any entries submitted in a manner that is not expressly allowed
under these Official Rules (all such entries will be disqualified); (iv) incorrect or inaccurate entry
information whether caused by entrants or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or
utilized in the Sweepstakes; or (v) any typographical or other error in the printing or advertising of the
offer, administration or execution of the Sweepstakes, or in the announcement of prizes/prize winners.
All incomplete or otherwise non-conforming entries will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right, in its
sole direction, to disqualify and prosecute any individual who tampers with or attempts to tamper with
the entry process. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes
should fraud, virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration,
security or proper administration of the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor will randomly
award the prize from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to cancellation. Should a
dispute arise regarding the identity of the entrant, the person whose name is provided at the time of entry
will be considered the entrant. By entering the Sweepstakes, the entrant consents to the collection, use
and disclosure of his/her personal information by Sponsor for the purposes of administering this
Sweepstakes and as permitted by the Official Rules, and in accordance with the privacy policy located at
http://www.wolftrax.com/en/privacy-statements.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any failure of its website during the Sweepstakes Period, for any
problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers,
access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or postal system or entry to be
received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any
website, any lockout, labor dispute, strike, inclement weather, or an event of force majeure, or any
combination thereof.
Sponsor shall have the right at any time to require proof of identity and/or eligibility to participate in the
Sweepstakes. Failure to provide such proof in a form satisfactory to Sponsor may result in disqualification.
All personal and other information requested by and supplied to Sponsor for the purpose of the
Sweepstakes must be truthful, complete, accurate and in no way misleading. Sponsor reserves the right,
in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant should such an entrant at any stage supply untruthful,
incomplete, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO CORRUPT THE SWEEPSTAKES OR TO
UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF
CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE
RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY, PROSECUTE AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE
FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
5. One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The Grand Prize is Snap-on® tools gift cards totaling $10,000 in
value. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $10,000 USD.
Prize is nontransferable. The prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash redemptions or other prize
substitutions allowed except as provided herein. Sponsor reserves the right to award a prize of equal or
greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. All fees and costs related to prize acceptance
and/or use, including but not limited to all applicable income taxes, are the winner’s exclusive
responsibility. Odds of winning Grand Prize depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. All
other costs not specifically stated herein as being awarded are the responsibility of the winner. Winner
will be provided instructions to obtain his/her Grand Prize by Sponsor.
6. Representatives of Sponsor will select one entrant as the potential Grand Prize winner pursuant to a
random drawing from all timely entries on or around December 31st, 2014, in accordance with these
Official Rules. Sponsor’s decisions shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
Only the potential winner will be contacted. Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to contact the potential
winner by telephone, mail and/or email provided on entrant’s entry form within approximately seven (7)
days after the drawing. If winner is from Canada, before being confirmed as a prize winner, selected
entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be
administered by e-mail or by telephone at a pre-arranged, mutually convenient time, at Sponsor’s
discretion. In the event that the potential Grand Prize winner does not respond to the prize notification
within 5 days of being notified, or if Sponsor is unable to contact potential Grand Prize winner, or (if from
Canada) Grand Prize winner fails the skill-testing question, or if a potential Grand Prize winner fails to
comply with the requirements of paragraph 7 below, or if potential Grand Prize winner is disqualified for
any other reason, that potential Grand Prize winner will forfeit prize and an alternate entrant will be
selected as Grand Prize winner from the remaining entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any change in
an entrant’s email, mailing address and/or telephone number of entrants. Potential Grand Prize winner
must acknowledge that he or she is bound by, and comply fully with, these Official Rules in order to be
eligible to win and receive prize.
7. Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to sign and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability
Release, and, where permissible, a Publicity Release, within seven (7) days of initial notification. Except
where prohibited by law, Grand Prize winner grants (and agrees to confirm this grant in writing, if
requested) permission for Sponsor and those acting under its authority to use, without any further

compensation whatsoever, his/her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising and/or
publicity purposes in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time
limitations and without compensation.
8. Other Terms and Conditions: By participating in this Sweepstakes, all entrants agree that Sponsor and its
respective parent companies, agencies, affiliates, and subsidiaries, and the officers, directors, agents,
employees and retailers of each of the foregoing (collectively, “Released Parties”): (a) shall have no
liability for damages or injuries of any kind arising from or in connection with any entrant’s participation
in the Sweepstakes, acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize if awarded to them, or
participation in prize-related activities; (b) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain
awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, special, consequential,
or any other damages, other than for actual out-of pocket expenses; (c) all causes of action arising out of
or connected with this sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort
to any form of class action; and (d) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual
out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs. By accepting this prize, the winner
will further acknowledge that Sponsor and its respective parent companies, affiliates and subsidiaries,
and the officers, directors, agencies, agents and employees of each of the foregoing, have neither made,
nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or
implied, in fact or in law, relative to such prize including, but not limited to, its quality, condition or fitness
for a particular purpose. Any and all warranties and/or guarantees on prizes are subject to the respective
manufacturers’ terms therefore, and winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such
warranty and/or guarantee.
9. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, and entrants
agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability
of these Official Rules, participant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in
connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of
Manitoba, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. By entering, entrants consent
to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts for Manitoba.
10. For the name of the Grand Prize winner send a self-addressed, stamped envelope by March 1, 2015:
