Notices and Reports Happy Christmas to everyone! The priests of the parish, Fr Marcus, Fr Stephen and Fr Andrew would like to thank everyone for their kind generosity over Christmas. ALso a big thank you and well done to all those who helped to organise our services, those who beautified the churches, visited the sick, served the altar, sang in choirs and those who helped in so many other ways. It was a very very blessed Christmas with almost 1200 at the ten masses across the three centres in the parish. This weekend the second collection will also be towards the parish building fund Christmas cards option - The following would like to wish everyone a very blessed Christmas but are not sending cards but instead making a charitable donation: Fr Marcus, Maureen Francis, Rena Gathercole, Laura and Sid Wyness No morning adoration/exposition from 24th-29th December and on 1st January. Tuesdays continue as usual. AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED - Thankyou to who took part in our family fast day and raised money to help the poor and suffering Christians in Iraq and Syria. We have raised so far £1233.93. The fund will remain open until the end of Christmas. Crib offerings at St Augustineʼs will also go to this fund. Servers event on St Stephenʼs day (boxing day). Well done to all our servers especially those who received their enrollment in the Guild of St Stephen: Andrew, Jack and Mack Ed Aid - Crib offerings this year at St Ethelbertʼs will be given to the Deanery charity Ed Aid (which supports schools in the third world). All our catechesis and classes are now suspended over the holiday - 150 people in the English language (and 50 in Polish) have taken part in some form of child /adult faith formation since September. Well done to all! Classes resume in 5th January and the Bible Course on 12th January. Urgent Volunteer Cleaners Needed at St Augustineʼs Church If you feel able to help, either weekly, fortnightly or occasionally, please sign the form at the back of church. We hope to have cleaning on Saturday mornings but if you can come at another time please let us know. The church desperately needs cleaning and we need help.
