DIRECTIONS TO SAINT MARY’S COLLEGE OUR MISSION Please mail this section with your payment to: Professional Officiating 3037 Stephen Dr. El Sobrante, CA 94803 My instructors and I will share our on and off the field experience to help you reach the next level of officiating. We will provide you individualized instruction designed to improve your umpiring ability and develop your skills by providing accurate evaluations in an educational manner. After this clinic, you should umpire with more confidence and consistency. You will develop skills in handling situations that will make you a more respected umpire on and off the field and enable you to handle any challenge you may face. This clinic is designed to develop average umpires into good umpires and good umpires into great umpires. You will receive meaningful feedback and guidance within our curriculum. That curriculum focuses on practical, real-world umpiring that we encounter routinely. We have wide-ranging instruction including basic to advanced rules applications and myths, game management and control, conflict resolution, disengaging arguments, preventive officiating, common sense umpiring, umpiring with confidence, the qualities of a good umpire, and umpire survival. There are three types of umpires: *The ones who watch things happen. *The ones who wonder what happened. *The ones who make things happen. What type of umpire are you? What type of umpire would you like to be?
