BATTLE CREEK
BATTLE CREEK stars Josh Duhamel and Dean Winters in a drama about two
mismatched law enforcement officers whose polar opposite views of the
world and crime-solving breed frustration, disdain, humor and possibly a
grudging respect as they team together to clean up the hardscrabble streets
of Battle Creek, Mich. Det. Russ Agnew, a good but gruff, hard-boiled
detective, has his world upended when strikingly handsome, charismatic
Special Agent Milton Chamberlain opens an FBI field office at the police
station and chooses Russ to be his partner. Milt’s polished sophistication and
access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new coworkers in the absurdly underfunded department. As Russ and Milt work
long hours together in the economically distressed city of Battle Creek, the
question is: will it be Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources
or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception that prove to be the
keys to catching the bad guys in his beloved hometown?

JOSH DUHAMEL
(Special Agent Milton Chamberlain in BATTLE CREEK)
Josh Duhamel is well-known for his role as
Danny McCoy on the crime drama “Las Vegas.”
Additionally, he lent his voice to the Emmy Awardwinning animated series “Fanboy & Chum Chum,”
and starred in several seasons of the long-running
daytime drama “All My Children,” for which he
received three consecutive Daytime Emmy Award
nominations, and a win in 2002.
Upcoming, Duhamel will appear in the feature
films “Strings” and “You’re Not You,” with Hilary
Swank and Emmy Rossum. Additionally, he
completed production on Trey Nelson’s “Lost in the
Sun.” Most recently, Duhamel starred in “Safe
Haven,” a drama based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks, and
the thriller “Scenic Route.”
His additional film credits include “New Year’s Eve,” “Transformers:
Dark of the Moon,” where he reprised his role of Captain William Lennox for
the third installment of the franchise, the romantic comedy “Life as We Know
It,” “Ramona and Beezus,” “When in Rome” and “The Romantics.”
Duhamel was raised in Minot, ND, and attended Minot State
University. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and son. His birthday is

DEAN WINTERS
(Detective Russ Agnew in BATTLE CREEK)
Dean Winters is well-known for his role as
“Ryan O’Reily” on the Emmy Award-nominated
series “Oz.” Also, he was a series regular on the
critically-acclaimed “Rescue Me,” and recurred as
Tina Fey’s “Beeper King” boyfriend in the Emmy
and Golden Globe-winning comedy, “30 Rock.” His
performance was included in Entertainment
Weekly’s “Must List,” as well as Variety’s short-list
of Emmy-worthy guest performances.
Winters’ additional television credits include
“CSI: Miami,” on the Network, “Sex and the City,”
“Law & Order: SVU,” “NYPD Blue,” “The Sarah
Connor Chronicles” and “Life on Mars.”
His feature film credits include “P.S. I Love You” and “Winter of Frozen
Dreams.” His upcoming film projects include “John Wick,” alongside Keanu
Reeves.
Winters, who is also well known for the character of ‘Mayhem’ in the
popular Allstate campaign, was born in New York City. His birthday is July

JANET MCTEER
(Commander Guziewicz in BATTLE CREEK)
Janet McTeer was nominated for the 2010
Best Supporting Actress Golden Globe Award and
Emmy Award for her role as Clementine Churchill in
the television movie “Into the Storm,” a biography
of the life of Winston Churchill. Also, she was
nominated for a 2014 Golden Globe Award for her
role in the television miniseries “The White Queen,”
and appeared in the Emmy Award-winning drama
“Damages.”
Currently, she appears in the
television miniseries “The Honourable Woman,”
opposite Maggie Gyllenhaal and Stephen Rea.
One of England’s most respected stage
actresses, McTeer’s prolific credits include “The Grace of Mary Traverse,” at
The Royal Court Theatre, and “Uncle Vanya” at the Royal National Theater,
both of which earned her Olivier Award nominations.
In 1997, McTeer made her Broadway debut in Henrik Ibsen’s “A Doll
House,” winning a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her portrayal of
Nora. She followed with performances in “God of Carnage” and “Mary
Stuart.”
In films, McTeer starred in the independent film “Tumbleweeds,” which
earned her an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe Award win.
In 2012, she was nominated for both a Golden Globe Award and an
Academy Award for playing cross-dressing house painter Hubert Page in
“Albert Nobbs. Additional feature film credits include narrator for Disney’s
“Maleficent,” “Waking the Dead,” “The Woman in Black” and “Hannah
Ardent.”
In 2008, McTeer, who grew up in York, England, was appointed Officer
of the Order of the British Empire. Her birthday is August 5.
KAL PENN
(Detective Fontanelle White in BATTLE CREEK)
Raised in Marlboro, New Jersey, Kal Penn
graduated from the Freehold Regional High School
District’s Performing Arts High School and attended
the Governor's School for the Arts. Later, he
received a degree from the prestigious School of
Theater, Film and Television at UCLA.
Penn is well-known for his role as young Dr.
Lawrence Kutner in the critically acclaimed
television series “House, M.D.” for which he shared
a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.
In
addition, he had a starring role in “We Are Men,” on
the Network, and recurring roles in “How I Met Your Mother,” also on the
Network, and “24,” and guest-starred in the series “Law & Order: SVU.”
Penn starred in the cult favorite feature film “Harold & Kumar Go to
White Castle” and its sequels, “Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo
Bay” and “A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas.” Other feature film
credits include “The Namesake,” “Van Wilder” and its sequel “The Rise of
Taj,” “A Lot Like Love” and “Superman Returns.”
Recently, Penn returned to acting from a two year sabbatical during
which he served as an Associate Director of the White House Office of Public
Engagement. During his time there, he served a variety of roles, including
that of President Obama’s Liaison to the Arts Communities, Young Americans
and Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders. Also, he served as an Adjunct
Professor of Cinema, Sociology and Asian American Studies at the University
of Pennsylvania.
Currently, he is pursuing a Graduate Certificate in
International Security at Stanford University.

Edward “Grapevine” Fordham, Jr. was a
series regular on the sitcom “Cuts.” Additional

AUBREY DOLLAR
(Holly Dale in BATTLE CREEK)
Aubrey Dollar is known for her roles as
Marina Cooper in the daytime drama “The Guiding
Light,” on the Network, and as journalist Cindy
Thomas in "Women's Murder Club," based on the
successful series of novels by James Patterson.
Additional television credits include “The Good
Wife” and “Person of Interest,” on the Network,
“Weeds,” “666 Park Avenue” and “Ugly Betty.”
Dollar’s feature film credits include “See Girl

VINCE GILLIGAN
(Executive Producer, BATTLE CREEK)
Vince Gilligan, series creator and executive producer of “Breaking Bad”
and the new series “Better Call Saul,” was born in Richmond, VA and raised
in Farmville and Chesterfield County. He received the Virginia Governor's
Screenwriting Award in 1989 for his screenplay “Home Fries,” which was
later turned into a film starring Drew Barrymore and Luke Wilson.
As a writer and executive producer on “The X-Files,” Gilligan shared
Golden Globe Awards with the production team in 1997 and 1998 for Best
Dramatic Series.
Also, he co-created the television series “The Lone
Gunmen.” He was a writer on the feature films “Hancock,” starring Will
Smith and Charlize Theron, and “Wilder Napalm,” starring Debra Winger and
Dennis Quaid.
Throughout its run, “Breaking Bad” earned several awards and
nominations, including Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Drama
series in 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013, with the first half of the fifth season
taking home a category win, and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series
nominations for Gilligan in 2008 and 2012. In addition, the show was
recognized with a Golden Globe Award nomination in 2013 and a win for
Best Television Series Drama for its final season in 2014.
After writing and directing the “Breaking Bad” pilot, Gilligan received
the 2008 Writers Guild Award for Best Episodic Drama, with another win in
2012. In addition, he took home a Peabody Award honoring the show’s first
season, and the American Film Institute named “Breaking Bad” one of the
Best Television Programs of the Year throughout its entire run.
Gilligan resides in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Holly.
DAVID SHORE
(Executive Producer, BATTLE CREEK)
Writer and producer David Shore was the creator of the acclaimed
medical drama “House, M.D.,” which was the recipient of numerous awards
and nominations, including an Emmy Award for Shore for writing the episode
“Three Stories,” and four nominations for Outstanding Drama Series; and
three Golden Globe nominations for Best Drama. Also, the series won a
Peabody Award, two Writers Guild of America Awards, four People's Choice
Awards for Favorite TV Drama, and was the 2006 American Film Institute’s
TV Program of the Year. In addition, Shore won the Humanitas Prize and
was nominated for two Producers Guild Awards.
Shore has written for the television dramas “Due South” and “EZ
Streets,” on the Network, and “NYPD Blue.” He served as head writer and
supervising producer on “Traders,” which he developed for Canadian
television, and was part of the writing team of the Emmy Award-winning first
season of “The Practice.” He was nominated for two Emmy Awards as a
producer on “Law & Order” and executive-produced both “Family Law” and
“Hack,” on the Network, before creating “House, M.D.”
