A day characterized by the star: following a guided tour
through the picturesque Swabian countryside and a visit
to the house where Gottlieb Daimler was born, you will
be given a VIP tour of the plant at Sindelfingen. Here you
will have exclusive access to our driving simulator. A further highlight, after a brief drive to the Mercedes-Benz
Museum you will see the world’s first automobile, the
Benz Patent Motor Car from 1886 (replica).

DTM Hockenheim 2014
The DTM (German Touring Car Championship) at first
hand. After tours through the Mercedes-Benz Classic
Center and the workshop of the legendary Silver Arrows, vehicles provided for the event will take you from
Stuttgart to Hockenheim on Saturday. There, the program
includes a tour of the pit boxes and an exclusive evening
event in the paddock in addition to the DTM qualifying
rounds. The highlight on Sunday: from the VIP club, you
will follow the DTM race and the subsequent interviews
with the drivers. A weekend devoted solely to motorsport.

Driving Air
Only flying is better? You will get to see technology and
enthusiasm both on land and in the air on this tour. After
an introduction, you will fly with a Cessna or Piper to
Emden via Wilhelmshaven and Norderney. At each stop
one of the participants will take the co-pilot’s seat and
will have the opportunity to hold the yoke. On the return
journey to Bremen current Mercedes-Benz models will
take you along idyllic country roads to a group evening
meal.

Klimahaus®
An electrifying “journey around the world”: you will travel

This day is all about the SL: following breakfast at Sarah
Wiener’s restaurant “Gottlieb”, you will learn everything

first hand the forces at work at high speeds in the highbank curve of the test track. Then it will be time for a trip
in SL vehicles provided to a small picnic before you conclude the day with a red-carpet dinner and the culinary

The G-Class has been making the hearts of off-road fans
beat faster for 35 years – we will show you how to experience even more driving pleasure with this classic vehicle
whilst maintaining maximum safety. First our instructors
will acquaint you with all the tips and tricks regarding the
G-Class and then it’s off to the off-road course to implement them. Experience a legend in action.

tree trunks, several opportunities to drive at a roll angle

Confident control of the vehicle is the basis for safe
driving, your awareness of typical dangerous situations
will be increased during the half-day Compact Training
course. On the circular track or on the slalom course – at
various training stations our experienced instructors will
teach you driving maneuvers with which you will always
maintain control of the vehicle. Young drivers (18-25
years) can also book this training course at a more reasonable price – invest in your driving safety.

A lightning-fast evasive maneuver or full brake application?
How do you make the right decision in an emergency? We
will teach you the basics of safe driving during exercises
such as evasive maneuvers at 80 km/h without braking,
full brake application or correcting a skidding vehicle. At

reactions at high speed, whether you are regaining
control of a tail-skid on a wet road surface or going into
a controlled circular drift – you will improve so as to

fast reactions and precise steering work from you. You

Ecology meets economy. We will show you how to reduce
fuel consumption by up to 15% by adjusting your driving

Asphalt, concentration, adrenalin – the Sports Training
course takes you to the racing track. After warming up
you will work towards achieving the ideal level of concentration and absolute control of the vehicle in the section
training. On the second day you will experience strong
nerves and performance limits during instructed driving.
Together with our experienced motorsport trainers, you
will correct your driving technique bend by bend and
then prepare yourself for the big finale in the evening, the
Race of Champions. During this training course you can

part of the three-day G-Class Experience the tour through
the G-Class production plant is followed by the highlight

Graz, a dinner high up above the old town and a second

near Kitzbühel. 80% downhill gradients, driving at an angle
on ice and snow – this is where to learn how to correctly
master an off-road vehicle.
Off-piste driving fun. Regardless of whether you are an off-road novice or a professional, we will teach you how to drive
more safely in snow-covered terrain in the
G, GL, M or GLK-Class vehicles provided.

After a short theory lesson and briefing

course in small groups with two drivers in

Winter driving pleasure is guaranteed: you will find the optimum conditions in Saalfelden,
at the foot of the Kitzbühel Alps. Nature’s wonderful backdrop, the Gut Brandlhof designer

center located directly next to the hotel. You will receive optimum preparation for the
winter in the ice arena measuring 120,000 m².
You will complete the off-road training courses in a quarry close to Kitzbühel. Overcoming
a difference in height of 80 meters with gradients of up to 80% requires strong nerves and
concentration.
Sorsele
An adrenalin-boosting experience on ice and snow awaits you, just a few kilometers
south of the Arctic Circle. In the Swedish province of Lapland, snow and ice are guaranteed and thus ensure the optimum wintry conditions for conducting the training course
on the frozen lake close to Sorsele. The extremely challenging handling courses demand
the highest degree of driving ability from you whilst at the same time promising plenty
of driving pleasure – after all, the ice tracks were designed by Formula 1 racing circuit
developer Hermann Tilke, who also designed the Abu Dhabi circuit. However relaxation
and enjoyment are also provided for. A rustic and authentic atmosphere with specialties

Conditions for participation Mercedes-Benz Driving Events
1. Registration
Registration takes place solely by means of the Mercedes-Benz Driving Events form, which is forwarded on
request, or the online registration form available at www.mercedes-benz-events.com/en/driving-events.
Registrations become binding immediately upon confirmation in writing.
Daimler AG has commissioned BKP GmbH, Münchner Strasse 24, 85774 Unterföhring, Germany, to carry out
the Mercedes-Benz Driving Events in its own name and on its own account. BKP is the organizer of the events.
2. Price
In addition to theoretical and practical training, the price also includes catering, except in the case of Eco Training staged at the customer’s site. In the case of courses extending over several days, hotel accommodation
with full board is included. The price for participation does not include cancellation insurance. Cancellations
prior to the beginning of the event may be subject to cancellation charges. It is thus recommendable to take
out suitable insurance.
3. Training vehicles
Training vehicles are provided. Participants have no entitlement to a specific vehicle.
4. Amendments
The organizer reserves the right to amend the course or contents of events.
5. Rebooking
Rebooking must be made in writing. Rebooking (including in case of illness) is possible for individual participants only and only up to 14 days prior to the commencement of training. A rebooking fee of EUR 47.60 incl.
VAT applies.
6. Cancellation terms
a. Cancellation of a registration must be effected in writing. The date of receipt by Mercedes-Benz Driving Events
shall determine whether the cancellation is effected within the required deadline. In case of failure to attend
the event or failure to effect cancellation within the required deadline, the full price for the event shall be payable. The cancelling participant’s right to prove that the cancellation or failure to attend the event has not led
to any damage or has caused a substantially lesser degree of damage shall remain unaffected.
b. Cancellation terms for individual participants (also applicable in case of illness): Where an individual participant cancels his or her application for an event, the following conditions shall apply:
• in case of cancellation up to 71 days before the event: EUR 47.60 incl. VAT
• in case of cancellation between the 70th and the 30th day prior to the event: 10 %, but at least EUR 47.60
incl. VAT
• in case of cancellation between the 29th and the 8th day prior to the event: 30 % of the price for the event,
but at least EUR 47.60 incl. VAT
• in case of cancellation between the 7th and the 4th day prior to the event: 50 % of the price for the event,
but at least EUR 47.60 incl. VAT
• in case of cancellation 3 or less days before the event: 100 % of the price for the event
c. Cancellation terms for the winter events: The cancellation conditions for group bookings apply.
d. Cancellation terms for group bookings involving 5 persons or more:
• up to 90 days before the event: 20 % of the price for the event
• between the 89th and the 30th day before the event: 50 % of the price for the event
• between the 29th and the 14th day before the event: 80 % of the price for the event
• within the final 13 days before the event: 100 % of the price for the event
7. Cancellation by Mercedes-Benz Driving Events
Should the minimum required number of participants fail to be attained, Mercedes-Benz Driving Events
reserves the right to withdraw from the contract up to five days prior to the beginning of the course concerned.
In this case, Mercedes-Benz Driving Events will refund the fee for the event. Special rules for winter training
events: Mercedes-Benz Driving Events reserves the right to cancel events for weather-related reasons (if
temperatures are too high).
If an event is canceled by Mercedes-Benz Driving Events, participants will receive a refund of the event fee.
Participants will not be reimbursed for any expenses incurred in traveling to the event location.
8. Valid driving license
Only holders of a valid driving license for passenger cars are eligible to participate in Mercedes-Benz Driving
Events. Participants are obliged to permit inspection of their driving license.
9. Ban on alcohol
Alcohol is strictly prohibited during the driving events (blood-alcohol level of 0.0 milliliters). In case of breach of
this rule, Mercedes-Benz Driving Events shall be entitled to exclude the participant concerned from the further
course of the event. The fee for the event will not be refunded in such cases.
10. Disciplined behavior
Participants are to behave in a disciplined manner during the driving event. The Mercedes-Benz Driving Events
instructors are authorized to issue instructions to participants for the duration of the driving events.
11. Self-retention in case of damage
The vehicles placed at the participants’ disposal by Mercedes-Benz Driving Events are provided with fully
comprehensive insurance coverage including self-retention to the sum of EUR 1,000. In case of damage to the
vehicle provided, the participant shall be obliged to pay this self-retention sum to the organizer. This obligation
may be waived at the organizer’s discretion where damage occurs in a driving exercise in which the participant
has demonstrably followed the instructor’s instructions.
Where claims are not payable by the insurer owing to gross negligence by the participant or if damage which is
not covered by the fully comprehensive insurance arises due to fault on the part of the participant, the participant shall be liable for all such damage which he or the person accompanying him may cause.
12. Participation fee
In case of bank transfer, the participation fee shall be due on receipt of invoice, but no later than 14 days prior
to the beginning of the event. If the invoice is received by the customer 14 days or less before the start of the
event, it is payable immediately. In case of payment by credit card, the participation fee shall be charged to the
participant’s account after receipt of invoice (approx. 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the event). The participant may only offset claims where the participant’s counter-claim is undisputed or a valid title is enforceable; a
right of retention shall be applicable only where such right is based on claims arising from this contract.
The following special provisions apply for Sweden: The invoice amount is payable upon receipt of the invoice or
four weeks before the start of the event, whichever is the sooner. If the invoice is received four weeks or less
before the start of the event, it is payable immediately. Dispatch of the flight ticket shall be contingent upon
receipt of the full invoice amount.
13. Accident insurance
The participation fee includes accident insurance providing the following coverage for the duration of the
training:
• EUR 150,000.– in case of death
• EUR 500,000.– in case of invalidity (In the event of incapacity resulting from accident or illness, fees will only
be reimbursed if the verified degree of invalidity is greater than 33 percent)
• Allowance of up to EUR 10,000.– for recovery costs
14. Liability
Should statutory responsibility attach to Daimler AG in accordance with these provisions for a case of damage
resulting from ordinary negligence, Daimler AG’s liability shall be limited: liability shall apply only in case of
breach of material contractual duties and shall be limited to typical damage as was foreseeable at the time of
conclusion of the contract. This restriction shall not apply to harm to life, limb or health. Irrespective of any
fault on the part of Daimler AG, any liability of Daimler AG under product liability law shall remain unaffected.
Daimler AG’s statutory agents, vicarious agents and employees shall not be personally liable for damage
caused by ordinary negligence on their part. The same shall apply to the owners of the site at which the
training is carried out or to parties holding other entitlements to the said site. No strict liability in tort shall be
assumed for any defects on the vehicle provided. Access to the training site is not permitted for spectators and
accompanying persons who are not registered as participants; no liability shall be assumed for such persons.
As the on-site team’s attention is devoted to the participants during our events, it is not possible to attend to
spectators and accompanying persons.
15. Final provisions
All agreements must be set down in writing. This requirement shall apply equally to subsidiary agreements and
undertakings and to subsequent contractual amendments. Should a provision of this contract be ineffective
or unfeasible, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this contract. Acting in good faith
and within the bounds of what is reasonable, the contracting parties shall replace such an ineffective provision
with a provision which corresponds as closely as possible to the intended legal and economic effect of the
ineffective provision. Where the contract is concluded with a foreign party, the contractual relationship shall be
subject exclusively to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The sole place of jurisdiction for all claims
arising from this contract shall be Munich, if the participant does not possess a place of general jurisdiction in
Germany, relocates their domicile or usual place of residence out of Germany or if their domicile or usual place
of residence is not known at the time of instituting proceedings.
