there are risks in connection with this activity, I hereby assume these risks for

Tournament Rules
1. This will be a USA Hockey sanctioned tournament, and USAH rules apply.
2. All teams, including but not limited to out-of-state teams, must place on file with
the Tournament Director before the first tournament game, a copy of the Signed T-1
USA Hockey Team Roster Form. No Players Can Be Added After First Game.

3. A player must play & Sign in for at least one round robin game to be eligible for
playoffs.
5. All teams will play a minimum of four (4) games.
6. All games will have 3 stop time periods with period duration as follows:
•
Squirt/Peewee - 12 minutes
•
Bantam/Midget - 13 minutes
7. No game will be played under curfew rules - however if at any time during the third
period the score differential is 6 or more, the game clock will go to running time. Stop
time will only resume when the deficit is reduced to less than six goals. 10 goal mercy
rule is in effect.
8. Tournament officials reserve the right to end any game or move any game to
running time if the officials and/or referee deem the game has become unsafe, or to
recover time in the tournament schedule.
9. No time outs will be allowed in the round robin games. One time out (1.5 minutes)
will be allowed in the playoff, consolation and championship games.
10. There will be 3-12 teams in each division competing in a round robin format.
Points will be awarded as follows:
Squirt & Peewee: (5pts) Points Per Period (1-win, 0-loss, .5 tie 2-winning the game)
Bantam & Midget: (2pts) Points Per Game (2- win, 1- tie, 0-loss)
11. A tie game after regulation play in the round robin portion of the tournament will
remain a tie. All Playoff, Championship and Consolations games tied after regulation
with go to a 5 minute 4 on 4 sudden death overtime followed by a 5 man shootout. If
the game remains tied after the 5 man shootout, teams will participate in a 1-1
shootout until one team scores and the other team does not. All players must shoot
once before any player shoots twice.
12. Tie breakers between teams with equal points will be in this order:

Most points
•
Better head to head record
•
Most Wins
•
GF-GA differential
•
Fewest penalties
•
Coin Toss
13. PLAYOFFS: Six Team Divisions: First and second place teams will play in the
Championship game while the third and fourth place teams will play in the Bronze
game. Fifth and six place teams will play in the Consolation game. Placement will be
determined by total points from the round robin play. Four Team Divisions: First
place will play fourth place and second place will play third place in the semi-final
round. The loser of each game will play in the Bronze game while the winner of each
game will play in the Gold game.
14. All games will use the 1.5 minute minor, 4 minute major, 7.5 minute misconduct
and a 1 game suspension for a game misconduct format. All fighting penalties will
carry a tournament suspension. Max 5 penalties per player per game.
15. Locker rooms will be assigned and keys will be checked out before each game. All
teams are to follow the USAH locker room policy.
16. Teams must be ready to play 15 minutes prior your scheduled game time and must
take the ice within 2 minutes after the Zamboni doors have closed, unless directed
otherwise by tournament officials. A 3 minute warm up period will start when the
Zamboni doors close.
17. The tournament committee, through its director will handle protests and disputes.
The director reserves the right to make final decisions regarding the interpretation of
the tournament rules. The director will act in the best interest of the players, coaches,
and the game in general. The director’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
18. Any player, coach, team, team official, parent, or spectator who demonstrates
rude, vulgar, damaging, or unsportsmanlike conduct during the duration of the
tournament is subject to discipline. This may include removal from ice
arena/property, suspension from games, or expulsion from the entire tournament.
19. No noise devices allowed. This includes, but is not limited to bells and horns.
