Acting as both tech and design lead I helped build this new company from the
ground up. Accomplishments include: redesigned logo, Phase1 launched a successful
blog/editorial site. Additionally for Phase 2 I managed all development and design of
a full-featured site including user profiles, search directory, point-of-purchase
(subscriptions and also packages), email marketing, DFP ads and campaign
management.

Primary role included UI/UX design and HTML/CSS development for the website, with
a later focus on email marketing design and development, including full spectrum
management of email execution process. Includes designing both transactional and
editorial/marketing products, creating responsive HTML templates for mobile
optimization, full QA testing using Litmus tools among others as well as providing
performance summary reports and analysis. Worked closely with engineering,
marketing and product teams. Worked extensively with ESP systems – in this case
SendGrid. Other functions include QA leadership and helping facilitate user testing
in-house and user surveys online. I was also the company charity organizer.

Ran a small web design shop. Most projects served small businesses including Flower
Girl World, MobiNow, Unger Fabrik (One World Star), GOODARTHLYWD and CANHR.
Created several small custom WordPress sites and integrated with social
media including a design facelift for a dating site and iPhone app, and a complete
sales-order system for a large manufacturer of juniors clothing.

While managing a 5 person team of front-end web developers in a fast paced
revolving environment, I also helped test and code new products (primarily using
HTML, CSS, Javascript). Worked with the design team to define and conceptualize
interactive Flash projects for client campaigns. With a constant flux of ad-sales and
in-house production requests, it was required to provide real-time response and
resource allocation on a daily basis. Intense sales driven ad campaigns required
custom integrations built under very short timelines. In addition to the main web
property Break.com I also supported MadeMan.com, CagePotato.com, HolyTaco.com,
WallStreetFighter.com, ScreenJunkies.com and Chickipedia.com – other Break Media
owned sites. I maneuvered a variety of platforms from XSL templates to .Net to PHP
(Drupal & Wordpress) – and also worked with several third party vendors and
content partners such as Eyewonder, Singlepoint, Crackle and Hulu. Worked closely
with Ad Operations I also integrated crucial reporting and tracking tags such as
DoubleClick and GAM (Google Ad Manager). I facilitated execution through to live
product deployment with many departments including .Net team, PHP team, Design,
Marketing, Ad Sales, Ad Operations, Product and Editorial.
