Students can also add/drop semester-long classes during exam week from 7:45-1:00. Students are not allowed to miss class/exam time to make schedule changes. Please note that counselors will not be available at all times during exam week. Students may see any counselor to make changes if their House Counselor is unavailable. VSAC/CVU's Financial Aid Forms Night is being held at CVU on January 22nd. It will be located in the Learning Center library lab. This event is dedicated to helping you fill out the FAFSA form. We will have two sessions, one from 5:30pm-6:30pm and the second one 6:45pm-7:45pm. Please note that you MUST register to attend this event by calling Helen Shepard at 482-7137. The 39 Steps: There will be a tech crew sign-up meeting today for this year’s spring theatre production of Alfred Hitchcock’s: The 39 Steps from 3:15-3:30pm in the theatre. If you are interested in working on sets, props, costumes, lights, sound, hair & make-up or scenic design, please plan to come to the sign-up meeting today. CVU is offering CCV’s Intro. to College Studies at CVU Semester 2 taught by a CCV instructor! When: Tuesdays from 3:30pm – 5:30pm, 1/27 – 5/5 (13 weeks) Where: CVU! This FREE class prepares you for college by helping you set goals, problem-solve, manage time and stress, improve communication skills, take better notes, reduce test anxiety, and plan financially. CVU awards 1 full credit (1/2 English, ½ Elective) upon successful completion of this course. Habitat for Humanity: If you are interested in participating in an outstanding community learning/service event, then consider applying to go to Winston-Salem, NC over April break to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity. Applications are available in the Fairbanks House office. The first 20 students (16 yrs of age or older, no exceptions) to submit an application and $100 deposit will get to experience this amazing trip. Questions? See Dan Shepardson in Fairbanks. The annual CVU Winter Ball is Saturday, January 17th from 7pm-11pm at the Davis Center on the UVM campus and is sponsored by Senior Class Council. This is an open event for all current CVU students! Tickets are available now for sale in the house offices for $20 each. If you are bringing a guest from another school, we will need their home phone number. Also, please note that UVM requires that all individuals that enter the Davis Center ballroom will have their bags and coats searched prior to entry. SENIORS: In preparation for graduation, please stop by the Direction Center as soon as possible to check the spelling of your name for your diploma. It is important that it appears just the way you want it! Is it spelled correctly? Do you want your middle name or just your initial? Should there be "Jr." or "III" attached to your last name? The deadline for making changes is January 28th. ***Governor's Institutes of Vermont Winter Weekends 2015*** Winter Weekend I - February 6-8 - consists of Comedy Theater, Current Issues, Entrepreneurship, or AstroPhotography.
