International Women’s Air and Space Museum
And Asian Town Center Trip
Monday, January 12, 2015
12:30 PM to 3:00 PM
From Lawther Center
Fee: $5.00 for the guided tour
and transportation
Join us for a unique, fun and educational outing. One afternoon, two very different destinations.
The International Women’s Air and Space Museum preserves and interprets the
history of women in aviation, honoring their contributions, both today and in the future.
Come and discover that the history of women in air and space travel
is more than Amelia Earhardt and Sally Ride.
The Asian Town Center is one of the largest collections of Asian retailers in Ohio.
It boasts four authentic restaurants, one of the largest Asian supermarkets
in Ohio, and multiple other shops with Asian goods for sale.
Enjoy some Dim Sum or sushi, Thai food, or perhaps some Korean BBQ.
Afterwards you could shop for some hard-to-find Asian produce, or pick up a souvenir.
Seating is limited. For more information, call the Activities Office at 216-529-5005.
Sewing, Knitting and Crocheting
in the New Year
In the new year, why not resolve to learn a useful skill,
one that will brighten the lives of some people that
could use some brightening?
During the month of January, the
Sewing, Knitting and Crocheting
group will be meeting in the Dining
Room. We will have several people
who are very excited about sharing
the finer points of the sewing, knitting
and crocheting process.
Among the projects this group
works on is teddy bears that are
distributed to children arriving
at the Lakewood Hospital
Emergency Room. This group
offers excellent camaraderie,
and it’s all for an excellent cause.
The Sewing, Knitting and Crocheting group meets
at the Lawther Center on Tuesday mornings, from
9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Come out and join us!
